Clemson- we were hoping that he has someone monitoring the web. We had words in for Amy Lee, and we barraged Radiomargaritaville vith emails requesting it specifically for this show. It was worth a shot, at least we tried.

I totally agree it was worth the effort; nothing ventured nothing gained. I guess I'm just trying to figure out whether or not to be disappointed with the Buffett camp; whether or not the request was basically ignored or was it unheard.

Jimmy sounds like he has added some great songs to his winter tour. I am from Indiana and I will continue to harp with continuing dissapointment about Jimmy not going to the Midwest this Summer. Jimmy pulls in more money and better shows in the Midwest. Some of Jimmy's most loyal fans are from places like Chicago, Cincinatti, Indianapolis, Atlanta, and Pittsburgh. The hardworking class of people that suffer through the coldness of the winter in great anticipation for Jimmy to take them to paradise in the Summer. I think this is a sign on disloyalty to not put any shows in the Midwest this year.

Hey anonymous- I think it's awfully disloyal of you to deny the man a break with his family. Hardworking class in the midwest? I don't know of anyone who works harder than Jimmy Buffett during the summer. Give the man a break. Money is not the issue. He's not betraying anyone at this point. No one knows what cities he's playing yet for the fall leg, so we don't know if he's skipping out on any of the cities of his loyal fans. By the way, he has "loyal" fans everywhere, even in cities where he hasn't toured for years. If anyone had the right to feel betrayed, don't you think it would be them? Sure I'd love for him to come to Pittsburgh again this year, but I don't think that by taking the summer off to be with his family, he's betraying me. I'll gladly wait till next year, let him rest up and come back better than ever. Keep your fingers crossed, hope that he comes to your city, and if he doesn't, hold your fins up high, and wait till next summer!

This is true bb. There are a few "loyal" buffett fans in Fiji when I was there a few months ago. Don't think he is touring there just yet. Even though it's a short few hour flight from Tahiti.
Loyal Buffett fans exist all over the world anon.

So sad...........

Just heard a Parrothead was killed last night. Was hit by a van leaving the concert in the parking lot. She was pinned under the car. They beleive alcohol was involved (what made them guess). Was wondering what had happened. Saw ALOT of police and ambulances....

She got hit walking in front of us on the main drag out of the venue. Not sure if the folks in the van didn't see her or what. An absolutely horrific end to an otherwise great night. By the time lifeflight landed, I think her battle was over. Our prayers were with her on the side of the road last night... they are with her family tonight.

uffett news and reviews from West Palm Beach

****** Review of Saturday's concert from The Palm Beach Post *********

The set covered songs from 1973 to 1998 and included "Why Don't We Get Drunk," with Japanese subtitles on the video screen. After laying out a trombone solo on "Bob Roberts' Society Band," Buffett closed with "Another Saturday Night," because it was. Nothing earthshaking. Nothing profound. Just a coalescing of one kid from Pascagoula, Miss. - who with skill, savvy and luck has been able to do his thing - and 24,000 others who wish they had and love him for it.

"It's still fun and I still don't need a TelePrompTer," Buffett said before doing his first hit, "Come Monday." "I never dreamed I'd be doing this 30 years later."

********** Buffett enjoys ripping referee - doll, that is **************

The Tampa Parrot Head club sent it to him after a referee at the Feb. 4 Miami Heat-New York Knicks game in Miami took exception to the profanities Buffett directed at him and had Buffett escorted from the arena. Ever since, Buffett has had the last word, in comments, on concert video screens and Saturday by ripping the Velcroed extremities and head from the doll. "You don't like what I said ... well, change your attitude, referee!" he chided.

More news and notes, including why Jimmy didn't show up at the Carefree Theatre on Friday night with Coral Reefer guitar masters Mac McAnally and Peter Mayer, who put on a rousing show for fewer than 300 fans.
