redrocket,

you are the one who should be in chicago to do something to get on radio margaritaville

you said you were one of the ones in san jose who got on with the ref's whistles----chicago is a good time, probably one of the top 3 of his shows he does a year.

I would love to...somebody needs to make a tour package, kind of like the ones where they go to all the ballparks, where you go to all the hot shows and truly get the PH experience. Here's a market ready to be developed.

Im up for helping plan it for next year, i say we try and do it, maybe if we can get word to jimmy, he can help get a certain section for each show for us, so we can be near all the action

Great show tonight at Alpine. Jimmy is just fantastic live (Radio Margaritaville just doesn't do him justice). Great video that went along with Changes in Latitudes. People were throwing stuff on stage for Jimmy to put on and Jimmy would put on these crazy hats. During Fins he put on a shark hat and throw a huge inflated shark into the stands. He was just having a great time with it.

The crowd at Alpine is huge--Jimmy was almost shocked when he walked on stage for the first song and saw all the people. The lawn seats seem to stretch for miles.

Jimmy in person is just great.

Next morning....That was an awsome show! 23rd row center. Took some pics, we'll see how they turn out. Every year i've been in lawn seats. With all that rain and cold, just glad to have seats at all. Jimmy played an awsome concert. good mix of songs. He cant play all my favorites but he did play alot of them. Anyone having a recording contact me , I am interested in getting a copy.

Phins all

The show on Saturday at Alpine was incredible. The weather was horrible, but that didn't stop the 40,000+ Parrotheads from making it a beautiful day!

Long time PH. Have seen every Chicago(Poplar Creek and World) show last 10 years. Alpine (1st time there) on Saturday took them all hands down. When Jimmy came on it was electric - he definetly picked up on the vibe. Once the show started you forgot about the fact that you could see your breath and that it was drizzling-rain.
MUST HAVE A RECORDING! HELP!! Don't want to get the rip-off on e-bay (not a true PH)

The weather was HERE and it was BEAUTIFUL!!

Well well, I just had to post some comments on what was a completly incredible day. We pulled into the lot at 3:00 and proceeded to have a terrific time, in spite of the on and off mist. The main dissapointment with the rain for us was it ment no Club Trini. We had wonderful people all around us. Didn't see any swimming pools, but otherwise it was full boogie, just like years past.
On to the concert. The show was fantastic, Jimmy was in great form, his voice sounded fantastic, the setlist was great, everyone around us was really into the show. I never saw one person sit down. We were in the 4th row, on the aisle. What a great show, it is a real letdown to have it over with now. Anyone going to the Ohio shows, you are in for a teriffic show.

Saturday rocked! The pre-party was on, despite the weather. We had a tarp and a grill with lots of charcoal-kept warm and dry. We were parked next to a bunch of dudes with a t*t-o-meter. They had a number of customers throughout the day. The show was outstanding. The funniest moment was when Bubba forgot the words to the spoken prelude to Gypsies, and ended up saying they feasted on brats and beer, and then saying something like "I can make this s*** up on the fly". He Went to Paris was an amazing end to an amazing day. JB appeared honestly touched by the crowd's ovation after BEG. He mentioned several times that there's nothing like Saturday night at Alpine. One thing sucked-full pat down security on the way in-what was up with that? It took a long time to get in, but it started 15 min late, so all was OK. Also, after all the ticket hullabaloo, lawn seats were going for $15, and reserved for $25 1/2 hour before show time.
