How was "He went to Paris" written about, and what album did it debut on.

It was written about 3 people, i can't think of the names right now. It was first on A white sport coat and a pink crustacean.

Before he does the song on You had to be there, he says the song was written about Jesse Bartholmeu and Eddie Balchlaskie. I know those last names are spelled wrong, but that's who it was about.

There's a video of this song on JB's "Tales From Margaritavision". It's a pretty sad video. GREAT song though.

Actually I think Bartholemue is the old wino down in New Orleans and the other guy is from Chicago...from my recollection on You Had to Be There, it is just about those two guys...

He also says on there that this song is one of HIS favorites.
