Full patdowns going in the gate... No wonder it took forever to get in as the show was starting. I headed for Gate 2 just before 8, and ended up missing the intro and most of the first song. There was a huge mass of people trying to get in, and it was honestly getting a little scary when the music started and people began pushing from the back.By the time I got up to the turnstyles they had long since stopped patting everyone down. Luckily cool (or just drunk) heads prevailed and I think everyone got in without incident.

ShrimperDan and Wholelids - Wow, we all must have been in the same vicinity. I was just a couple of rows down from the t*t-o-meter and saw a few of the patrons. We had a tent and grill going, too, so we stayed relatively warm & dry. The atmosphere in the parking lot was still incredible, despite the gloomy weather. And Jimmy did seem thoroughly moved to see so many people there when he came out. It's true, there's nothing like Alpine on Saturday. It blows away the Chicago shows, no question. Getting ready to listen to the show tonight on RM live.

I have been to all the Alpine Shows the last 5 years and this one unfortunatley was the worst!!! Set list and party were great. My complaint was the sound. It was terrible where we were sitting. Not loud enough!! Alpine is a great Venue and usually good for sound, Sat night was not a good effort!! Sorry parrot heads, turn the amps to 11 next time!!
