Ahhh... coffee - the elixir of life!

Growing up, my mom always used a percolator on the stove too, but hers was metal. I can still recall smelling that wonderful aroma as I woke up!

In the 48 years we've been married, we have had our share of drip-style machines, with the last 2 being Cuisinarts that are 2-sided, (akin to the image in Penny's post), brewing either a carafe or single cup via a K-cup option. I really like the flexibility it offers.

That's why we got one like that, carafe is usually weekends.

We make 8 cups pretty much every day (which is really 2 mugs each) and use the K-cup side mostly in the colder weather when something warm after a post-lunch walk is welcome. I love the cappuccino ones from Gevalia or a flavored brew. They also come in handy when only one of us is having coffee in the morning.
