I like adidas flip flops, inexpensive and the strips rule!!!!!!!!!! Why anyone would buy sandals or shoes from nike, knowing their business pratices amazes me.

I have the same problem as was mentioned before with flip-flops. Can't stand the toe thong! I have the inner-battle between big toe and 2nd toe for supremacy of the foot. Both want to be king. (Seinfeld reference)

I agree... Rainbows are GREAT... the only thing I wear !! They're worth the price. very comfortable and durable.

Flip flops... under $10, so when they die, buy another pair.

I wear mine all the time. :pirate:

Ok, if I get Rainbows, any suggestions as which to get. I have my choice of classics or leathers, and of single or double layered.
I've read dozens of books about heros and crooks and have learned much from both of their styles.

I can't believe no one has said Flojo's. They're great. I have two styles, the flojos style (the cheap rubber with ankle strap) and the more expensive, expensive type (the latter ones are awesome!). I've worn 'em for years. You can get them at a surf shop, or go to flojos.com. They'll last, and they're inexpensive (I'd say cheap, but they're not).

Good call, Kitty. Your dagger got me right in the foot. But, when I gotta where sandals, I wear Flojo's. And now I'll shut my mouth for awhile after I take my foot out of it.

OMG - they DO have a website except their prices are double what they are in the factory  But I guess it better than paying for a $350 airticket to save $10

Well, I like all of those. I'm not sure what to do. We have a Rainbow dealership here in Charleston, so I may go with those. I like the Kinos too. can anybody answer my previous question about which rainbows to get?

I've owned a few pairs of rainbows and have always been very pleased with the single layer leathers. They are very durable, comfortable, and stylish. I wear them everywhere from school, church, to fishing. They WILL NOT blow out. After a bit there will be a darker coloration where your foot always is......on second tought that just might be my dirty ass feet..

If you want a good quality, comfortable sandal that you'll be able to wear for years and years, then the best choice is a pair of Birks. It's the closest thing to walkin' around bear-foot.

hey SOSOAS, go with the Rainbows! i've had reefs, birks (although great), and tried on some dr. martens - feel like your wearing heavy blocks on yer feet! haha. anyway, i've owned a few pair of the rainbows, all single layer and had three leathers but the rubber ones are good too for those shows you know you're gonna get rained on! one style i probably wouldn't suggest is the hemp, sure they look good but i wore mine out fast. and although rainbows may not "blow out", i seem to wear out a pair every summer, daily wear, and its not covered by warranty when you wear through the rubber sole, foam layer and leather top. i guess i drag my right big toe a bit. but i wont wear anything else since i've tried them! oh yea, are ya getting them at McKevlin's? used to live in Charleston for that old college try!

First off, I have to totally agree with Birkenstock fans. Birks are the most comfortable sandal I've ever owned. The first time I ever wore mine was to Disney World, and it was the first time my feet didn't ache after spending a whole day there, even though they were brand new and not even broken in. The are expensive, around $110, but you definately get your money's worth. If you get a pair, make sure you take care of them and they'll last forever. Secondly, I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT NO PARROTHEADS HAVE MENTIONED CHACOS!!!! I bought a pair of Chaco's this summer, and they're awesome. You can get them at most any outdoors store, or order them online at http://www.chacosan.com. These are great for hiking, canoeing, or any other outdoor activities, and they dry quick too when they get wet. They range about $70-$80 in price.

Well, all of these sandals look great. I am a college student though, so price does come into play. That and I am saving up to hopefully travel some this summer. I think I am going with Rainbows. And phinphrind,
I have not heard of McKevlin's. Where is it located at?

Hey, good thing for your daughter, there ain't no poptops any more! Ouch, they used to hurt bare feet. :(
They'd make a cute decoration for a Parrot head hat!!!

Another prize should go to SOASOAS for coming up with an interesting topic and thanks everyone for contributing to a good thread. Never knew so much about flipflops and sandals. :)
