Let's not get too wrapped up in the rumors -- keep in mind that the distribution of tickets and the rules that apply will be similar from venue to venue. If insider(s) are buying pre-sale at the Knob, it's going on elsewhere. The "computer problem" I alluded to earlier could very well have been the re-sale of the "illegally" pre-purchased tickets mentioned on the previous post. But 11,000??? Very doubtful. DTEs' total listed capacity is around 16,000. As for Jimmy being displeased with the folks at Palace Entertainment, you hear it every time we are passed up for a summer show, and there are a good half dozen conspiracy theories as to why. The reality is Bubba would have to do two shows in Detroit to make the same jing he makes with one show at a venue like Alpine Valley. Let's enjoy the fact that he's stopping by our party this year -- If you want the ticket, you don't have to succumb to the brokers -- there is always tickets being scalped, er, sold in the lot for realistic prices. This whole ticketba****d fiasco happens every concert, it's time we stopped acting surprised about it :o ........Phins up, see you on the 24th!!!!

the scoop that have heard today is that the Palace scooped up a huge amount of tickets, and held them for season ticket holders. They were ordered to return that block of tickets (which was over 10,000) and have since already been sold....

Well I sure hope that the tix I just upgraded to weren't part of the recalled ones... especially since I paid using Paypal!! Having travelled quite a bit we've made quite a few phriends here and there. I've found tix, but noone seems to be all that cheap. The official "brokers" are waaaaaaaaay high this time. I found a couple sources for around $75.... eBay prices are about $100..... and the big brokers are $150+. Bubba needs to do a couple nights here so that the availability might increase.

If the IDIOTS who run Pine Knob and The Palace wouldn't have the constant crap like they do, maybe he would consider it in the future, but don't count on it.

I went to channel 7 's web page and asked the "7 on your side consumer advocates" to look into the palace, I would encourage everyone to write a letter if they get enough maybe they will request an interview and we can find out if these rumours were true and put some heat on them so it never happens again.

A phone call to ticket master did confirm that "yes" tickets were stolen. They will not verify how many, who done it or what's going to happen to them.

A friend of mine was offered "all the Buffett tickets you could possibly want" via a ticket master employee. I told her "I wouldn't touch 'em"

I'll be calling the Palace this afternoon and let you all know if I dig up anything.

It's really a shame that some greedy people are making it so hard for us all to have phun!

I emailed the person that I bought my pavillion row P seats from and she said that mine aren't among the ones that were recalled or whatever. Still, I'll breathe a lot easier once they get into my hands... especially since they are already paid for! At the very worst... I still have my lawns. Hopefully the row Ps will come in the mail soon. Someone please PM me with info on how to contact Hemisphere Dancer & Volcanohead. Thanks!

I'm with the rest of you. I was online and on phone and got nothing!

This is so frustrating, but hopefully something will turn up.

I'll be trying for Chicago as well. A bit of a drive, but definitely do able.

Capt... of course I remember! We'll be in Cinci again this year. For the Knob (DTE) show we're trying to put something together with DPHC & POTGL so that we don't get there with the whole setup and get shut down by security. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Ya know - I recognized that Name, but did not realize was you! DER me!

But I just got off the phone with officials at the Palace - the case of the "stolen" "missing" "misplaced" tickets is UNFOUNDED and not true, this is a per a supervisor there and not just Tracy who happened to answer the phone and because I was also calling to make sure we get the PhinMobile it - could not believe her ears. You do what? Oh my, (giggle, giggle) So I told her to make sure she comes and checks it out.

Any how the Phin Mobile is a given - the are already expecting you LOL!!!

Okay - I've been holding back on this, cause I want to confirm the "case of the stolen tickets - but http://www.cc.com and then you have tosign up for http://www.getacess.cc.com for $60 says that they have Buffett tickets. I believe it is the asking price plus the $60 sign up fee. BUT I don't think you can verify they actually HAVE the tickets until you sign up. I could be wrong - I could be wrong. DO NOT hold me to any of this information :)

I wouldnt believe a damn thing a supervisor at the palace has to say, do you really think they would say yeah we screwed up big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the dixie chicks onsale date two years ago, I went up to the supervisor and asked him point blank when the first show sold out if there would be another show and he told me "No go home" and then five minutes later guess what they added another show, the palace is full of aholes.

Karen, it looks like the Phinmobile will once again be the place to be!! That sounds great!! I'll have to get with you to see if the whole parking thing is going to work. Also, I think we might need to come up with a big banner that says POTGL. I need to get with Sue also and see about a DPHC one.
So much to do.... so little time!!!!!!!!

CG - do you think that the tickets went maybe to Clear Channel, Tickets Now and other places that guarantee you tickets to "sold out shows" for a membership fee? And does your source tell you if the misplaced tickets are going to be voided?

Personally, if I were going to put out the $$$ for scalped tickets - OKAY BLACK SHEEP STEVE I'M leaving my self open here - as I would never do that being the co-fonder of Unified Fans Opposed to Ticket Scalping http://www.ufotts.freeserver.com - (Just be nice BSS) -

But IF I were going to buy from a scalper, I would want to be sure that I was not buying a ticket that was going to be voided.

*********************************
And Phin Mobile THEY are on to you at the Palace LOL!!!

They told me to check back closer to the concert date to firm up all the details. Don't worry about the banners, we have connections now with both Corona and Margaritaville Tequila, so I'm sure we can get those. But you my friend, are a DONE DID DEAL!

Outstanding!!! Now, as soon as I can figure out how to attach a pic to my post, everyone can see the setup to look for at the Knob. Once we get "ophicial" approval I'll post a map of the lot. For now just visit our temp website.
