don't want..

Depends.... Not in the store bought stuff, but my Nana's mincemeat pie was just that, minced meat, along with the other stuff that's in more modern "mincemeat" pie.
The object on Thanksgiving was to finish the whole pie because in the old days Catholics couldn't eat meat on Fridays and by Saturday the pie wouldn't taste as good, so everyone had their fill on Thanksgiving.
I like both liver (when properly cooked) and mincemeat pie. Yes, I know that makes me a little weird....

MMM...love liver!! pork, beef and chicken!! Don't care for mincemeat pie though...my aunts used to make it at Thanksgiving...no matter how many times I tried it I couldn't develop a taste for it.

I would try liver again...but I have a feeling it wouldn't be cooked the way it's supposed to...
