That's a little cheaper than usual.
Mad Elf isn't cheap, but very good........maybe it is the 11% ABV!

Re: Seasonal Beers
Here's a recent article from a Richmond, VA web site that picks "The Top 10 Winter Beers":
http://www2.richmond.com/entertainment/ ... ar-685673/
Happy to see they include Troeg's Mad Elf as we have discussed in this thread.....and the Samuel Adams Winter Variety Pack is another decent choice, too, if you are having friends over the house during the holidays.

Re: Seasonal Beers
If anyone lives within driving distance of Chambersburg, PA you really should check out our local brewery, Roy Pitz Brewing opened in 2008.
Here's a link to where the Roy Pitz brews can be found other than the brewery:
http://www.roypitz.com/wp/store-locator/
They are developing quite a local following here. Very good seasonal beers, too......

No...we tried to get it from our beverage distributer but couldn't...not sure why. Someone called yesterday looking for it, though. We have something called "Bad Elf" though...not sure who makes it and also not sure if it's any good.Bfan53again wrote:Just curious: Have you found any Mad Elf (http://www.troegs.com/our_brews/mad_elf_ale.aspx) yet in your area????Landshark Girl wrote:Just tried Thirsty Dog's 12 Dogs of Christmas out of Akron, OH this past weekend. Haven't had any of the Saint Arnold Christmas Ale yet this year, but we had some last year in Gruene when JumpUP told us about it. The brewery is in Houston.

Also we can get Shiner Holiday Cheer brewed by the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas right here in HEB Grocery Store.

The malty flavors of this dark wheat ale are enhanced through the use of malted barley and wheat. And Kräusening ensures a smoothness that makes the subtle peach and pecan flavors all the more satisfying. May your days be merry and bright and your Shiner be ...

Re: Seasonal Beers
im with conched on this one. nothing better than a St Arnold Christmas Ale to ring in the season.
I also love to drink Dogfish Head's Palo Santo Marron once the weather cools off. It's a year-round brew, but works perfect in the winter since it's dark w/ flavors or caramel and vanilla.
(also, conched...if you're feeling adventurous, mix St Arnolds Christmas Ale and Elissa IPA together in a pint glass - 50%/50%. Brock, the SA owner, told us about that. They call it a Sailing Santa. It's amazing!)

I agree......I wouldn't want to drink this brew a lot, but in winter it does hit the spot! I'm a big fan of Sam Adams family of beers.....VanillaGrl wrote:While I'm not big on chocolate, this is one of my favorite seasonals.![]()

Harpoon Winter Warmer.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.
