The song was a limited edition of just 500 copies which were sold $600 each
Yeah I think that was the signed (by Jimmy) version.
There are a few of those on the well known auction site.
I got mine (unsigned) from amazon.

I'm 99 percent sure it's the same book. One is signed by Jimmy (600 dollars), and one is unsigned; listed at 65 but I got it got 44 dollars on Amazon. It's worth it.

There was a limited signed and numbered edition of the "Songs from a Sailor" book sold on Mailboat Records $600. Only 120 copies of the signed and numbered version were offered and yes the price was $600

There is a brief intro by Jimmy but this is a chord book. They are more accurate than the album chord books, as it seems Jimmy gave these his stamp of approval.
I collect all of the old album chord books as I'm teaching myself how to play guitar.

I hope Buttermilk Grove is on the album. The version on jokelben is decent but a remastered version would be awesome. Great, unknown song from Jimmy

Amazon is now showing this as unavailable on their site.
Hopefully the original listing was just someone jumping the gun on an announcement/presale and nothing more.

Meaning, hopefully that this album does not come out?

Hopefully it's still planned and just wasn't supposed to be announced yet. I hope they haven't cancelled it completely. I would love to see it released.

I am surprised we haven't heard anything else about this. It seems maybe Amazon has made a mistake.

It was also posted on Deep Discount, without album cover art as well, but has been completely taken down (link not found)...

Kirsten from RM just confirmed Buried Treasure will be released in November, and that's about all she could say. More info to come.

To me, it is a no brainer to also release this on vinyl.
Hopefully we hear some details soon.

amazing. Volume 1? It appears that there will be multiple volumes considering it is only 12 songs out of 120.
I am going to get the deluxe version! sweetness.

Amazon still doesn't have the track list but Mailboat does:
1. Don’t Bring Me Candy
2. Circle Is Small
3. Abandoned On Tuesday
4. I Can’t Be Your Hero Today
5. Rickety Lane
6. Wino Has Something to Say
7. California Dreamin’
8. The Gypsy
9. Hopelessly Gone
10. Simple Pleasures
11. Close the World At Five
I have Don't Bring Me Candy and Abandoned On Tuesday but they aren't the best quality, hopefully they'll be cleaned up. I might have to buy this one.

Here are the details posted to Mailboat Records for Buried Treasure Vol 1:
Available For Pre-Order
Release Date: November 17, 2017
Standard CD w/28-page Booklet
Price $14.99
When legendary Nashville producer Buzz Cason sold his recording studio to John and Martina McBride, there was some cleaning up to do. That is when Jimmy learned they had found a sizable collection of 1⁄4-inch tapes that were demos of songs Jimmy had written and recorded for Buzz when he was writing for his publishing company. It turned out that there were over 125 songs in that pile of tape boxes. Also discovered were the original artist recordings that Travis Turk had engineered in Mobile, which is where the whole story of Buried Treasure starts.
Track Listing:
Don’t Bring Me Candy
Circle Is Small
Abandoned On Tuesday
I Can’t Be Your Hero Today
Rickety Lane
Wino Has Something to Say
California Dreamin’
The Gypsy
Hopelessly Gone
Simple Pleasures
Close the World At Five
Buried Treasure Vol 1 is also being offered in a deluxe package which includes:
40-page Collector’s Book with Never-Before-Seen Photos, Bonus DVD 20-Minute Documentary with New Interviews
The deluxe version is priced at $30.00

I Can't Be Your Hero Today was released on the album "Down To Earth" in 1970 so the version on Buried Treasure might be an alternate version of some sort.

Thanx for the updates, guys. Well, I placed my order with Mailboat, so maybe it's finally for real this time!
This was a fun on-again-off-again release, but for me, nothing will ever take the place of the TTWWY release. (I think I still call it "Paddlin' Out" AND have the "BN" cover with all the various names in the case cover)
