Here's my take: you must make a decision to stop the Margaritas when you realize that you are feeling a little tooooo good. You will not repeat not remember the concert and good times. That being said, try and have the will-power to do it! I finally got it, and the concerts were so much better.

Yes, it is something we all did (though that certainly does not make it right). And my parents would often allow me to have wine with dinner, but those were controlled situations.

In general i guess I don't get too worked up when someone underage takes a drink. But it ought to be in the presence of some rational thinking adult supervision so it doesn't get out of hand.

Where I have seen problems is this: teens who come to the parking lot specifically because word has gotten out that they can get drunk without anyone really stopping them. Thye may or may not be going to the concert, but in any case they are there for the party and to get drunk. I have had a couple of really unpleasant experiences at Alpine with underage drinking, and have seen a fair amount of it in Chicago as well.

I do drink, but my drinking tol excess days were over years ago, and the only time I got seriously sick was the one time I set out to get really drunk. And I vowed i would never do that again!

I guess I love the concerts enough that I want to be able to enjoy them, and being drunk just does not enhance the concert for me. I want to remember the concert, and the details, and don't want the people around me so drunk and obnoxious that they destroy the experience for everyone around them.

Some time take a good sober look at some of the people in the parking lot after the concert, including those getting behind the wheel of a car. Someone was hurt at Mountainview last year (fell off something onto the roof of a bus)-I am surprised there aren't mroe problems. And frankly, while I am sure the lawn is great, it is one of the reasons I don';t do lawn seats.

First and Foremost.....What a phenomenal weekend!! I'm poor as hell, but I don't really care!

Drinking while underage has been a right of passage for each and every one of us, however, at the MGM pre-party I witnessed (first hand) a parent buying Margaritas for her way too underage child! This kid could not have been more than 13-14!!! They were the real deal and not non-alcoholic!! I was floured to say the least and when I saw the kid stumble into the arena, I just had to sit back and be amazed by the stupidity of some people!! :o

I am an underage parrothead (only by 2 years) but believe that having a couple drinks (particulary those tropical drinks that Jimmy sings about) is part of the experience.

It certainly helps me dance!!!

would prefer my kids did not drink under age but that said, I understand the passage. However, if you are gonna drink, learn to be responsible and understand that drinking to much has as inpact and is not only you, you are impacting. Take the lead in protecting yourself and eveyone else who may come in contact with.
