In order to properly create DVD's of Sunlover's video files the files need to be converted from thier current format .wmv to vob-meg2 format. This is the format used on DVD's so they play in home DVD players. Once the files are converted from .wmv to vob-mpeg2 format burning DVD's should be easy.

You need a separate video conversion program in order to convert the files. There are many available that can be downloaded to perform the task. In this case with so many files to convert you want a program that does batch converting so you can convert multiple files at one time.

And watch for programs that create a watermark over the video.

Watermark's are usually created as a limitation on a trial version of a program to get a user to pay for a full version.

Thank you SunLover for the video downloads. We attended the show and also DVR'ed it during the original broadcast. The other day, I accidentally erased the DVR copy. I was bummed. I was able to make a DVD of the show using SunLover's uploads and Windows DVR Maker software. The DVD is in HD and looks and sounds great. Thank you for saving our memories.

If I had any clue how to do it, Joe, I would do it. I am sure some of the puter geeks around here will chime in.

I can attempt to burn it for you. Since the last time you asked, I did get a DVD burner for the computer. I could try to conquer this weekend if a computer DVD is ok.

Sunlover:

I hate to bring this back from the dead, but I have a stupid question. How do I combine the files from this show into one giant MP4? Or better yet, is there a way to combine the files into one MPEG 2 TS file, like the format for the new concerts? I've tried using Handbrake but I cannot figure out how to combine the files.

I can stream MPEG 2 TS files from my pc to my Directv DVR and watch them! However, at this time it doesn't support any other format and I was trying to figure out how to convert this show (and other MP4s that I have) to the compatible format. Will VLC do this and is there a trick to it?

Thanks buddy! I hope you have a great New Year.

You will need to use a video file editor/converter to do what you are trying to do, you will need to edit the individual files into one large file then convert to the required file format. You should do a little searching on video editing/converting software that can be downloaded as there are many free and paid options available

I understand. However I have no idea what software to use that can easily combine the files. Handbrake will convert them individually to MP4 but they play "fast." I've also tried converting some other MP4 files I have to MPEG using VLC, but I have been unsuccessful in getting them to stream to my DirecTv DVR. Only coasterghost's files stream correctly. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Divx has an excellent converter as part of its overall video package which can be downloaded here: http://www.divx.com/

MP4joiner is an excellent tool for combining multiple MP4 files into a single file it can be downloaded here: http://www.mp4joiner.org/en/

For converting the MP4 to TS format you can try a program called MP4 to TS Converter available here: http://www.anymp4.com/mp4-converter/con ... to-ts.html

Thanks for the insight. I'll try some of those.
