I’ve been saying it for years if he ever did a rarities tour or show it should be called “songs you don’t know by heart”
Wow! So funny. Anyway, this is going to be amazing. I have been waiting 20 years for a show like this!

I missed the Montessori Benefit show that he closed with "Death of an Unpopular Poet." I always said to my wife that if we had been there, it probably would have been my last concert, because nothing (to me) would have been better than that.
Except, maybe this. This could be it. This could be a literal dream come true. And the best part, I don't have to deal with any drunk a**hole next to me or someone behind me telling me to sit down.

Don't want to rain on the parade but let's temper our expectations a little so we don't get disappointed in the end. But OH BOY.....this has potential!!

I can’t imagine him not using margaritaville tv for this. It was also posted on Instagram so I don’t think it is just a Facebook thing

I think this was Jimmy's intent for the 2015 Key West Pick the Setlist show. Until everybody picked the same songs he always plays anyway. He even had to start that show with a couple of Key West songs on his own, just to mix it up a bit.

I think so, too. That was such a missed opportunity.
I'm very excited for this and I hope he follows it up with a CD, and an acoustic tour at some intimate venues, when that is feasible again.

Ironically within the last 2 weeks I just made a new JB "Playlist" on my I-pod which included cuts such as, Live versions of Death of an Unpopular Poet, Oysters & Pearls, In My Room and Dreamsicle. Plus studios of Lady I Can't Explain, Burn That Bridge, Presents to Send You, Don't Bug Me , Miss you so Badly & a few others that aren't the norm on the concert scene.

Dreamsicle he brought back as a more regular fixture in the setlist during last year's tour (2019). Otherwise, it's definitely a rarity and usually only played at shows in Alabama as an encore.
Miss You So Badly should be played far more frequently than it is. One of his most underrated songs. Hasn't been played at Great Woods since 08, and overall since early 2009. The variety hits radio station The River 105.9 out of Hartford played the studio version once a long time ago, around 2004 if I recall correctly. And I remember recording it on a cassette tape when they played it.
Oysters and Pearls is special just because it was the encore the last time he played at The Meadows in Hartford in 1999.
