7/11 Slurpee FRIDAY @ the MSC

Good Morning!
Today 7-Eleven stores (in participating areas) are giving out free small slurpees. 7-Elevens are pretty popular down here in SC. I've never had one and assume the lines will be pretty long

.
I planned to attend chair yoga this morning but didn't wake up until 8:15 so that is a no-go. We're meeting new friends for dinner at their newly built home this evening. We met them on-line in another community FB page when we were both looking for a new home. They are from NY. We had them here for dinner a few months ago. Sometimes this "inter web thing" is a good thing

.
After that we will need to spend time moving all things at 18mo old grandson Lincoln's eye level

to higher ground. Our son Brandon, Deanna, Austin (11) & Lincoln are sent to arrive mid-afternoon tomorrow. They'll be here a week. We'll be exhausted

. But our hearts will be full.

Good morning Linda.
I tried to log in to my bank's website to schedule a couple of bill payments. I got a message that said ACCESS DENIED, you are not authorized to access this resource. I called customer service and it took a little while but the rep I spoke to was able to solve the problem. While I was on the phone I clicked to the bill pay screen and I noticed they had my name wrong. This is the only bank I've dealt with since I moved here in 2012. The home page had my name right but the bill pay page had me as Charles, which is my middle name. There was no "edit" function for me to change it myself so the rep took care of that for me and after 12 years and 8 months my bill pay name is right.
Today is the 15th anniversary of the free concert Buffett did on the beach in Gulf Shores, AL. I had 2 extra tickets. The morning of the show I was walking around Gulf Shores and 3 women approached me and asked if I had any extra tickets. I told them I had 2 and they asked how much I wanted for them. I said they're free, I don't want anything for them. They were shocked that I didn't want them to empty their bank accounts for free tickets.

What are called "Trip Odometers" on our cars here in the USofA have different terminology in Europe. When I first accessed the function on our rental car in Italy, I thought "geeze, this car really knows me!"

Good morning/afternoon Linda, Charles

, and Mr. SPH!
I haven't had a Slurpee for years. I used to enjoy them once in a while.
Hope you have a great family visit, Linda!
Glad you got that taken care of, Larry!!!

I can't believe it's been 15 years since the concert.
What does that all mean, Mr. SPH?
DIdn't get to bed until midnight, up at 6:30. Yawn. Had an eye doc appointment, then I went grocery shopping. And then there's the laundry. Started that, and looks like it'll be just 4 loads.

And I'm a dope... I completely forgot that the hamper was full from the week prior to our leaving.

Make that 6 loads of laundry to be done.
.... I'd rather be at the pool with Linda and Kevin!!

Or Bob Barker with Johnny Olson.

They show the old version on the Game Show Network. Some going back to the early 70's, and the hair/clothing is crazy.

Oh, I have found in the last year I like gin. Not all of them, some labels are better than others. I prefer Hendrix. I just made myself an OLD cocktail called the "Bees Knees". It's a honey syrup, lemon juice, and gin. It's really tasty! YMMV...

The powers that be must have guided my choice of T-shirt this morning... it is the One Love One Ocean yellow one.
Because not everyone is as nice as the HOG!

Good evening ladies & gents from the Baltimore Inner Harbor.
We’re in town for a concert tomorrow evening, Christian artist Chris Tomlin. Our Hotel is right next to the Pier 6 Pavilion venue so that will work out great!
After our 3:30 am wake-up call to get to the airport to get our flight we landed by 8 am & ubered our way to the hotel. Had signed up for early check in for additional $40 so we were in our room by 9 am
Strolled maybe 3 miles around the harbor but beyond that not overly ambitious from a sightseeing standpoint.
Considering a jaunt up to DC tomorrow morning for a little touring but More apt to do lunch cruise on the water.
Only time will tell.
Goodnight Now!
