Creola Saturday @ the MSC

Post by SMLCHNG »

Good morning all!

Had 2 adult beverages with dinner last night, and it put me to sleep at 8:00. Wimp.

Grocery shopping this morning, and a few errands later.

Pretty boring day today.

Have a good Saturday!!

Good morning Penny! BN’ers to come.
Very much enjoy the laid back vibe of Creola. Had never heard that song until I purchased a used album copy of Floridays well after its release!
Seems odd having the CRB/Doobies show fast approaching Come this Monday. I know it’s nowhere near the same without JB but I’m still looking forward to it. Will look to “Parrothead Up” for the occasion.
Enjoy your Saturday gang

Like us when we saw Jimmy's endorsed Land Sharks show last month with 4 of the Reefers. It warmed our hearts (and made us tear up).

Hazy here but at least a break in the heat and humidity.

We have a coffee truck parked near the pool -- yummmmmm. I got a mixed berry smoothie topped with whipped cream. I drank some of it while I walked the neighborhood-- the rest is safe in the freezer (for now).

We've booked them twice and it seems we are now on their regular scheduled for the 1st Saturday of every other month.

This is an awesome business. Check it out. https://soscaresc.org/bean-dreaming/

Oh dear, another Saturday. That means that all the Monday to Friday working folks are loose and roaming the streets and filling the aisles at Costco and Home Depot and such and so I just stay home and work in my yard. I'm not necessarily complaining; I do appreciate them (you) continuing to fund my Social Security ("mailbox money"), but still....

Hi there! We ate a lakeside restaurant with a little beach and water slide. A DJ was on a floating platform and the waitress was excited about the band playing later, The Key West Express. I told her they were very good. Larry saw them as well at an Erie festival.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good afternoon.

According to the text message I received from Spectrum at 10:30 this morning my Internet and Wi-Fi were back in service. They weren't. Three phone calls later I'm still waiting. The latest update is they're working on an outage in my area and service should be restored by 5:00. I wonder if they'll credit my bill for the 2 days of no service if I called and b!tched loud enough?

Hey... never made it in yesterday so I missed adding my 2¢ on Larry's electrical issue...
Since you verified it was not a GFI, then it sure sounds like a bad breaker to me. The ceiling lights are probably all on one.
As to your dining room fixture... we just had one of two original bulbs go out in our garage ceiling after 30 years!!
Since we needed neighborly help and a REALLY tall ladder (the ceiling is about a story & a half high) we replaced the 2nd one too!
Anyway... I hope you got to the bottom of your problem AND that you rightfully get your 2-day internet credit as well!

Not much happening... a gorgeous day here,...dry, sunny, and low 70s so I took a couple of long walks!

Tha-tha-tha-tha that's all folks!

I looked at my latest bill from Spectrum, apparently under the new contract the HOA signed with Spectrum last year I don't pay for internet access anymore, at least not directly. The HOA pays for it, which comes from the monthly fee all residents pay.

My laundry room, kitchen and both bathrooms are still in the dark. From the labels on the breaker box, all 4 of those rooms are on one breaker so that's the only one that needs to be replaced. I'll call an electrician Monday.

I finally spoke to a human being on the phone at Spectrum. She tried to reboot my modem and router remotely but the router wouldn't connect to the modem. She ordered a new router that I can pick up at the local Spectrum store, which is only a little over a mile away, and I can get it tomorrow.

Floridays was the first album I went to buy the day it went on sale. Drove to Saginaw to buy it at Camelot Music. Also was my first concert-1987. Man, those were the days!

I am also looking forward to Monday. I am sure I will cry just like I have every other time I have seen any of the Reefers since Jimmy passed. I am so glad you encouraged me to see Mac in October 2023. I am sure it will be different and not the same, but I am thrilled we are getting the opportunity to hear songs we know by heart one more time at Pine Knob.
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......
