Lazy SUNDAY @ the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Today is National Lazy Day which gives us permission to relax and kick back. :)
So, we're going to be a bit lazy here ----- there is not much information regarding this annually celebrated holiday as we do not feel like doing any research.
Actually, we do not feel like doing anything at all.
Consequently, we are in our hammocks with a couple of good books and glasses of lemonade and iced tea. Yes, it is a Lazy Day. We choose to be lazy rather than tell much more about this day.

You can't teach people to be lazy - they either have it, or they don't. ~ Dagwood Bumstead

I would like to be better at being lazy but that would require working at my laziness which defeats the purpose of lazy day.

I was about to grab my iPod, un-lazy myself and go for a walk around the neighborhood but it's freakin' pouring. :o I will continue to observe National Lazy Day instead.

Afternoon all! I'll be VERY lazy once I finish a bit of unpacking from our night out.

For those not on Facebook, I did a face plant Saturday night. I face planted tripping up a curb. Ambulance called, cause nose wouldn't stop pouring out blood. A few hours in the hospital and nothing broken, thank goodness. Just sore as hell all over. We'll got home an hour ago, as we were up in Ft. Collins. ❤️‍🩹 Kudos to the Manager at Texas Roadhouse who sat on the sidewalk with me, and kept bringing me more and more napkins for my nose, gave Ron her business card with a coupon for an onion blossom, which is what I was going to order for dinner. UC Health Poudre Valley staff were AMAZING!! Glasses didn't survive.. This was me yesterday driving to the hospital (declined the ambulance ride), and this was me this morning. Yeah, it hurts. And so does my left hand/wrist/arm from trying to catch my fall. :-? My left eyelid looks like I have purple eye shadow on.

How many times were you asked "do you feel safe at home"? (I speak from experience after my face plant at the pool parking lot a few months back)

We are in for the day after going to 10:45 church since it's still pouring.

I asked some of my girlfriends it they wanted to go walk around the mall but got no takers.

I could go to the gym (my Medicare Advantage insurance just reverted back to their original fitness program - Silver Sneakers - from a trial year change to FitOn) but I've already had my shower for the day. I was unable to find a local gym that was in the FitOn program (which apparently happened to quite a few medicare participants) so now I am now re-enrolled with Planet Fitness (as is Kevin for the first time). Planet Fitness is only 1 mile up the road so now even Kevin has no excuse (he's napping right now :)).

Not once, actually. :) I think because there were so many witnesses to the tripping/falling. That and it was a Saturday evening when Social Workers and PT weren't there.

Yes and yes. CT Scan for my head, X-rays for my left hand, nothing broken, and no concussion. :D

I would still watch for concussion signs and do a recheck on your arm if it continues to hurt. Sometimes both issues are slow to surface. Take care of you, Queen 💕

I am taking full advantage of Lazy Day. Went and got a pedicure as my toe nails were reaching claw status and I want to continue to wear cute sandals to work for as long as I can.

Inside lounging on the couch listening to the Tiger game. It is like 94 degrees here, so I am totally okay being lazy under the ceiling fan.
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

Penny - I will repeat what I said on FB... OUCH!!! :o
And I think falling while away from home makes it even worse!

As to the Lazy Day thing... count me all in! :)
I was about to go for a walk earlier, when I noticed the temp was 89° with a "Feels like" heat index of 97° :-?
Needless to say, plans changed to reading in the A/C instead!

I hope the folks heading to the "Joint" show at JB don't suffer heat stroke before "Hot! Hot! Hot!" plays!

The rain stopped so even though it's lazy day I decided to go for a walk. I got across the street and about halfway around the block and it started raining. Not hard but there were a lot of dark clouds so just to be safe I headed back home. By time I got to the parking lot the rain had stopped. Oh well, at least I got a little bit of exercise. Now it's beer time. 🍻

OUCH!!!!! Jeez, Penny, that's painful.

We had a great parrothead weekend. The drinks flowed, the plates were full of food and the music was awesome! i broke into a jig during The Battle of New Orleans and latter led the conga line.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Yesterday turned into lazy day for me as I got a tremendous pounder of a headache later in the morning that just never improved & it knocked me out. But I rebounded fairly well today So today turned into catchup day.
Lynn feeling horrible today. Hopeful she has a quick bounce back for our Toto/Chris Cross/Men at Work concert tomorrow night
