Another SATURDAY Nite & I Ain’t got nobody @ the MSC

Post by Dr.Corona »

Good morning Ladies & Gents!
We didn’t often get Jimmy concerts here in Michigan on Saturdays but when we did I recall a couple shows where Jimmy played Another Saturday Night. Liked that song from the Cat Steven’s days. It wasn’t until a few years later found out it was a Sam Cooke song from the early 60’s.

Tonight’s the last night of Lynn’s 2 week stretch of being “on the road” dog sitting. Will be home sometime tomorrow.
Although she’s scheduled to go back out next weekend before getting a 3 week stretch off 🙄. Guess I should do some house cleaning today so I don’t get hollered at when she gets home 🤷🏻‍♂️
If I’m able to find a cheap ticket I may go down & check out the Styx/Kevin Cronin of REO & Don Felder of the Eagles concert tonight. But that’s probably a long shot. But if I do, while I won’t “Be With Somebody”, I’ll be Amongst Many Bodies!
Enjoy your Sat Day Gang!

Good Morning Ken and all others who saunter in today.

Our schedule is clear today so we may head to the beach. We were there yesterday for 2 hours and it was lovely. Came home, grabbed the "pool" bag. This is different than the "beach bag" that stays permanently in the back of Kevin's SUV. The pool water has finally cooled down enough that it feels refreshing.

We've had some free evening time so we are working our way through the "recommended for your" Netflix list. So far, so good.

Have a wonder Saturday!

Hi kids!!!!

The Styx and everyone else concert sounds like it would be a good time, Ken. Sophie is home this weekend, so I am thinking we may do a bonfire if it isn’t too windy. Sure is dry, though. Just finished watering the front garden and picking tomatoes. Got enough to make a batch of salsa, so that is on the agenda this morning.

Watched my neighbor “weed whipping” the fence line. I thought he was so thoughtful to get a quiet weedwhip for these early morning chores. Realized a minute or so later that he was using a flame thrower. 🤣. Brilliant way to tackle the weeds in a chain link fence. He even took care of the weeds in his driveway. Boys and their toys…🤣🤣

It is hair appointment day here, and a house a few doors down is doing an estate sale. So many houses in my subdivision are still owned by the original owners who moved here in the early 70’s. Unfortunately time is taking its toll, and many houses are being put on the market and next of kin are attempting to liquidate belongings they do not want. It is sad to me, but also part of the whole circle of life, I guess.

Enjoy your Saturday, everyone!
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

Good morning boys and girls!

Uneventful day here. 90 degrees again. We had 5 minutes of rain yesterday. Wheee.

Grocery and liquor store shopping today. I didn't get my usual Friday grocery store visit done, since I had a Dr. appointment, and E had his vehicle getting a new tire sensor fixed.

Mel, your neighbor has an interesting way of taking care of weeds!! :o

Linda, enjoy the beach!! :)

Ken, just throw everything in a closet, and clean later. ;)

Good afternoon.

We have our first hurricane of the season. It went from a tropical storm to a category 1 hurricane yesterday and it's up to category 5 now, 160 mph wind. But the predicted track of the storm is supposed to be 400-500 miles offshore so all we'll get is heavy surf. I don't know how to swim so I won't be going in the ocean.

Hi there! We went to a celebration of life that wasn't one. The alcoholic brother of an old friend died. The guy was socially awkward and had no friends except his neighbors attend. Outside of the neighbors and family, the other folks there were there to support our friend.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Picked the pool over the beach today since Kevin wanted to go to the gym😊????? (If I didn’t know better I’d bet it might snow here tonight.)
Anyway I’m glad he wants to go and I will always go along.

That's kinda sad there, Bill. :(

No pool or gym here, Linda. LOL!! :P

Cheers, Larry! :D I'll start in about an hour.. Making Red Lobster shrimp (it comes frozen and it's good), and some french fries. Easy meal for today.

That is sad, but I am guessing not unexpected. Thank you for going to support your friend.
