Good morning all!

Had a blast last night at the Avalanche Alumni vs. DU Alumni last night. Went to OT, and after a 7 man shootout, DU won. Great to see some of the greatest Avalanche players, and some of the best DU players (many of them are currently playing in the NHL). Didn't get home till 8:30, tho.

Today is a cool/rainy day. I'll be doing a few things around the house, no big projects, tho.

Good morning, Penny. We had a fast downpour at dawn and now it's sunny. It's cool and smells like fall. I'm good with that.

Yesterday's Pelicans game might have been the sloppiest baseball game I ever saw. Their pitchers walked 10 batters, hit 2 and threw 5 wild pitches. A Charleston player tried to score from second base on a single and was thrown out at home because he didn't slide and ran right into the catcher's tag. The Pelicans won 13-12 in 11 innings and the winning run scored when they had bases loaded and 2 outs and Charleston's pitcher threw a wild pitch.

Had fun last night playing 4 rounds of Mexican Train (I won 3 of them ).

Today I passed on 9:30 Yoga -- between weight lifting & quick stepping on the step boxes at the gym I believe I overdid a little as my lower back is bothering me. Of course, it doesn't help that I have a (small) extra vertebrae so my spine is a little squished all the time. I'll use some Tylenol and the heating pad today. But, I won't skip trivia at the library .

Just checking in... been busy paying some bills, hitting the grocery store, and enjoying lunch out on the deck on this gorgeous day!
Now I need to prepare a Caesar salad to bring to our neighbors' for dinner later. But before we go there, I am stopping in at my old boss's house as she is hosting a get-together for us former co-workers, as two of the ladies are up from their respective homes in Florida for a visit, and this was the only day their time overlapped. It will be fun to see everyone!

@Penny - that sounds like it was a fun game!

@Larry - while the one you were at sounded crazy! But at least "your" team won in the end!

Hi there! I'm getting my groove on with three beachscapes. It's the same composition and I painted one for a fundraiser at Cabin Fever. I like the scene enough I'm doing a 3-foot-long canvas and 2 more smaller ones fundraisers.

We decided to go to the pool after lunch - the water was nice & there were 5 neighbors there already so we got to catch up.

My "team" at the library trivia event came in last place -- out of 2 teams ! It was the smallest group since I've gone so we were done super early.

Anyway -- I'm going to get some heat on my lower back, pop some more Tylenol and call it a day.
