I love seeing the FB pics of our BN friends at the Doobie Reefer shows.

Yesterday I battled a lot of needing to clear my throat & coughing & now I practically have no voice (No smarty pants comments ).

I offered to take another lady to a library event (she doesn't drive) & now I have to cancel that offer which really bothers me.

Kevin & Scott will be "Breaking Bad" today -- I may just go lay on a chair at the pool while they do that.

A cool morning at 46 degrees.. heading to barely 70. Had some thunderstorms for a short time last night, and it was great.

Doing some piddly stuff around the house today. Nothing overwhelming, but needs to be done.

It's grocery shopping day, then when I get back home and put everything away I think I'll go to the recycling center to get rid of my empties. After that, who knows. Maybe I'll stop at the honey store and see if they have any new meads on the tasting menu.

Just got back from the supermarket. I always use the self-checkout because I bag my groceries better than they do. I also always pay with a credit card because depending on which card I use I get either cash back or points in the rewards program. They have a sign at the self-checkout today - TRY OUR NEW SELF-CHECKOUT, NO CASH, NO CASH BACK. If you want to pay cash or use the supermarket like a bank and get cash back, you have to go to a human being at a cash register. The self-checkout usually isn't crowded, maybe it'll be even less crowded now.

That seems inconvenient to me, Larry. And lately using cash is unusual, as it seems most people use cards of some kind.

Good afternoon all. Bought new tires at the end of July. Noticed one tire wasn't holding pressure lately so
I made an appointment with the dealer. Turns out my valve stem was leaking. Something I used to replace
back in the '70s for a couple bucks. Even with my veterans discount it was $69! W T F !

I did not realize he had relocated to Idaho. We met him 23 years ago, (on our 25 anniversary trip to Napa) when he was with Napa Cellars.

Corey and Nikki were at the last Boise show in 2019 and were talking about moving back then. I don't know when they actually made the move.

The honey store had 3 new meads out of the 6 on the tasting menu so I sprung for the tasting. The woman behind the counter was very knowledgeable. I asked her if I could replace one, it was called Smashin'' Pumpkin and I don't like pumpkin. She told me I should try it because it was more apple flavored than pumpkin but if I didn't like it she'd give me a 7th one at the end. I tried it and it was pretty good, hardly any pumpkin flavor at all. She said one of the other ones tasted like apple pie. As I was bringing the glass up to my mouth to sip it, it smelled like apple pie. Tasted like it too. They were all pretty good. I bought a bottle of one of them to bring home with me. If mead was a little cheaper I might buy some more often.

Would really have liked to catch another show but too much “stuff” been going on this concert season
