Good Morning to the land of those who like their’s with lettuce & tomatoes, Heinz 57 & French fried potatoes….you know the rest…
Only fired up the grill one time this summer for burgers. Shame on me!
For me it’s colonoscopy day (TMI possibly), so later this morning I’ll probably be game for a cheeseburger with just about anything on it
Enjoy your 18th day of September everyone
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
Yesterday my voice was almost gone (cue up Kevin's comments) although I didn't feel bad. I woke up at 7 and have been coughing ever since.
Since it is the Birthday Month of Linda we were going to a new place called "Bovines" for a Jimmy Buffett Tribute Party. Drink & Burger specials.....but.....I'm not sure now bc of my cough. We'd have to leave the house a little before 3:30.....we'll see.
I'm at Bohemian Bull, $5.00 cheeseburgers. There's a guy at the bar wearing a T-shirt from a moonshine company. It says YOU F**KERS NEED OUR MOONSHINE. Except it doesn't have the asterisks.
I'm feeling better although I still sound like a heavy duty smoker (I've never smoked). I really like the DayQuil plop plop fizz fizz tablets -- they seem to always work well for me.
Anyway -- I think we will leave at 3:30 to get to the new place and see what kind of Jimmy tribute they have. $10 burger/fries and $5 Margaritas & Rum Punches.
Hi there! I don't Deal well with bright sun and deep shadows. Towing the boat on a curvy road, I saw a semi heading towards me. What I didn't see was one parked on my side in the shade. It was not all the way off the road and had flashers on, but I came it on too fast. Passing the moving truck and the parked one, I braced for impact, but I threaded the needle and kept going.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Got a little tense there Bill but glad the story had a favorable ending!

Maybe I can talk Bryan into going to a local dive bar called the Howard Hilton. They have a really good burger on a pretzel bun. The kicker is they don't take plastic...cash only.
Soooo, I ended up NOT getting a cheeseburger. Wasn't hungry enough, so I had chicken wantons. They were great.

I thought there was going to be a horrible ending to that. Glad you're okay!

Sitting and waiting for a new mattress to be delivered. Forecast is "Mostly sunny with a chance of late rain". It's not yet 9AM and it is drizzling. I am not sure they know the meaning of "late".
I got a few jobs done yesterday - new irrigation in the veggie patch, mowed the orchard etc etc etc. A few more today. I have hand surgery planned on Tuesday, so I have to get it all done before then...
Our usual Friday night haunt is closed this week, oh well, there are five more cellar doors, a brewery and a pub within walking distance. One of those will just have to do.
