Hello Bill & all my other BN friends!

We have a bright sun today -- the first time in several days. Looks like that rain we've had is about all we will get from the hurricane (and we're good with that).

I feel well enough today (YAY) to actually go out and about (after lunch) but I will take it easy and hope I don't get any coughing "spells".

Enjoy your 1st day of October.

Good Morning Gang!
Bill, if the weather we're having blows to the south & east your way you'll be in great shape for the next week or so. It's great for this time of the year, although come this weekend I'm sure some people out there will be complaining that it's too hot as it's supposed to jump into the lower 80's.

For Saturday we've made plans to go a 45 minutes south of town to Kensington Park where some of the wild birds will feed right out of your hand.
Hopefully they'll still be a good collection of residents in the house. The small birds like chickadee's, Nuthatches, the Tufted Titmouse & Downey Woodpeckers are usually the most friendly. But often we've had bluejays, mourning doves, & Red Bellied Woodpeckers drop in. I've seen pics of Cardinals feeding as well but haven't had the pleasure of that yet.

Enjoy your 1st day of October everyone

Good morning.

I have nothing planned today, except grocery shopping. It's senior discount day.

Good morning from Galveston! Beautiful sunny day here. Already 81 degrees.
Checking out of our hotel soon, do some grocery shopping for the house we'll be at until Monday and then another hotel for the night before we leave back to CO.

Happy shopping, Larry. Linda, glad you're feeling better. Enjoy the birds, Ken!!

Off to go close up the suitcases. 😊

I just got back from the supermarket and I'm in mourning. They don't have the make your own 6-pack section in the beer aisle anymore. :( Now if I want to try a new beer I'll have to buy either a regular 6-pack or a 12-pack sampler.

85 years ago today the Pennsylvania Turnpike opened. On Oct 1, 1940 the toll was 1 cent per mile.

Hi there! A mile from home we watched an eagle land on a roadkill in the oncoming lane which straddled the yellow line. We slowed to a crawl passing him and he did not budge.

Afternoon BNers!
It's another beautiful day here... finally a bit cooler, still T-shirt weather but I have swapped my shorts out for jeans I guess fall really has arrived.
Today is my Dad's 105th birthday, so I'll be raising a toast (Scotch, of course  ) to his memory, as he celebrates in heaven.

Penny - glad your trip and weather have been great so far and I hope this continues for the rest of your vacay!

Speaking of vacation... Love the video Dr. C. I have not heard that GoGos song in ages, it is a fun one!

Larry - how DARE they!! :o But seriously, I wonder why? It seems counterproductive and definitely non-shopper-friendly.

Linda - glad you are feeling better... this has been a long haul. Did they ever determine the cause of your coughing fits?

Today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) it is forecast to get up to 15°C (59°F).

Saturday? 33°C (91°F). Spring has sprung apparently...

Later today I go back to see the surgeon and hopefully get the bandages off and stitches out.

Larry? That sucks about the beer. 🫤

Mooogy, a man of many words.😉

That's cool info, John 👍

Good luck at the doc, Rabbitz!!

Happy birthday to your Dad, Elaine! 💕

That must have been amazing, Bill!! 😯

We arrived safely at the house. It's beautiful. A few things (minor) that are a little 'eh' for my liking, but nothing that would make me leave. Like.... there's one cookie sheet and it looks like someone mafe bacon on it, and didn't clean it well (ewww), and no aluminum foil or parchment paper. And the stairs? Killer bringing everything in (suitcases, backpacks, food, beverages), and we're exhausted. We had an early dinner/late lunch which was great. 😁
We've unpacked everything we needed to, and we're enjoying the sunset shortly. G'night all.

No -- just a "regular" cold :-?
