This is your day for nutty fun!!!
I pretty much only like salted peanuts. I like the almond FLAVOR, but not the nut.
Packing up later today, won't leave till around 4:30, to head back home. I'll miss the doggies, but want my own bed back.
Have a good Wednesday!

Good Morning Penny. There's no place like home, huh Penny? I guess someone said that anyway.
After we get back from Key West, Lynn will go on a dog sitting stretch that will find her home only 5 nights between Nov. 3 to Dec. 3.

Wonder if I should be developing a complex?
I'm all about nuts as I've grown older. Only ate peanuts as a younger person but growing older became good with almonds, cashews, pistachios & pecans. Added almonds to my cereal this morning already.
Enjoy your 22nd day of October everyone

Good morning, Ken!

I think my dislike for most nuts is a texture thing... and often the tastes.

Good morning Penny and Ken.
Nuts, of any kind, are on the long list of things I don't eat.
I should get my lazy butt moving, today is senior citizen discount day at the supermarket.

Hello Everyone. I slept in until 8:00 this morning -- that's a rarity for me.
Haven't done much since except fill & turn on the dishwasher & get a load of dirty clothes in the washer.
We have nothing until the 6:00 "meet the HOA Board candidates at the pool pavilion for a "meet & greet". We already returned our ballot but we want to hear what the homeowners questions/issues are.
Oh yea -- Kevin put up one of the patio umbrellas this morning since the sun was hitting his face as we sat inside the Carolina room. Way up inside was a bat....alive or dead? That was the question. I finally took a mop and got it on the end and then threw it over our fence -- he was alive -- about an 8" wing span. He was screeching at me the whole time (while Kevin watched from inside.

When I go grocery shopping if I buy anything cold- orange juice, milk, ice cream, meat - I always wait until I have everything else before getting the cold stuff then I go right to the cashier. I needed milk and orange juice today. I got the milk and walked right by the oj without stopping to get any. Doofus. I don't feel like going back so I'll wait until tomorrow. I have an appointment to donate platelets and I can stop at the store on the way home.

I'm at Bohemian Bull. One of the TVs above the bar has the MLB Network and they're replaying game 4 from the Dodgers-Brewers series. Shohei Ohtani is a freak of nature.

I was about to leave and the bartender came over and said "Michael wants to buy you a beer". Michael is the owner and free beer is my favorite kind of beer. I never met Michael before but his wife Julie always comes over and says hello whenever I'm here. Michael is South African and Julie is South Carolinian.

An important pioneer crop was the American chestnut. Someone imported an oriental variety that had a fungus that killed our trees off. There are 4 left alive and botanists are trying to get seedlings from it that avoid the blight.

Problem solved... E asked for the key to my car in the wee hours this morning and he put his suitcase in my trunk. Then it was time for him to go to work (30 minutes away), and he forgot my key was in his pocket.

He just made the drive out here again to give me my key back so I can leave in about 2 hours. My sister and BIL will be here about 2-3 hours after I leave.

I like pretty much all nuts, as long as they are
NOT salted!
Linda - YIKES!

While I love to watch the bats at night - IN THE SKY - I would
not be happy with one in my umbrella!

Glad you were able to release it without harm though, as they are good creatures to have around for mosquito control!

There is anvasive bug in the east called the spotted lantern fly. Bats eat them. GO BATS!
I used a landing net to get one out of my mom's house. She was deathly afraid of them. A time after that, I had to remove another one. She met me outside wearing a pith helmet I had left there. She hadn't seen the bat but heard it in the hall, chirping. I crept down the hall, heard the noise and told her it was safe to see the bat. When she got under the noise source when it chirped. She screamed, then laughed.
It was a smoke detector, and the battery was low, so it was chirping. No bat, but a good laugh for us both.
