Couch Surfing SUNDAY@ the MSC

Good morning BN. As little as I do these days, Sunday is the day I do the least.
It was pretty traumatic, I was laid back in my recliner when the power went out and I didn't know how I was gonna escape.....MswMod wrote: Sorry for your power outage, Mr. SPH!!![]()

We had another "Atmospheric River" blow through here last night; the power went out at 9:14 pm and didn't come back on until 2:12 am. We had wind gusts up to 52 mph at our house and as high as 77 mph in other areas. I guess one good thing is that I don't have to rake leaves today, they are waaaay up the street in someone else's yard.
My late F-i-L had one of those power chairs that reclined back, but also "tipped" forward so he could get vertical... at 90 with bad knees it was a necessity. Once, when he was reclined, there was a power outage... luckily, it was right before his evening aide arrived so between the aide and a neighbor, they were able to get him out of it and onto the sofa instead. He had a good sense of humor and found it rather funny! The aide was familiar with the brand of chair and said it had a battery back-up feature, which my F-i-L had not realized. The batteries were bought and installed the next day! I'm not sure he ever needed them, but we were glad he had them.Dr.Corona wrote: October 26, 2025 12:34 pmSounds like a real Third World problem their SPHSeattleParrotHead wrote: October 26, 2025 12:16 pmIt was pretty traumatic, I was laid back in my recliner when the power went out and I didn't know how I was gonna escape.....MswMod wrote: Sorry for your power outage, Mr. SPH!!![]()

No injury. Thumb arthroplasty. Had the right one done in 2017. Got some bone cut off the base of index finger and thumb. Holes drilled in each and wire inserted to reconnect them. Then a tendon sheath removed for more mobility.lime rickie wrote: October 26, 2025 6:09 pm Evening, lurkers.Monster head cold or something brewing, happy with a couch/football day.

Sistah! What did you do now? Is this a new injury, or surgery from the old injury?
