Good morning all!
E's working from home again today. Later this afternoon we'll be heading to Cameron's best friend's house to celebrate his graduation from the Denver Police Academy. SO proud of Rick. They've been friends for almost 30 years.
Folding some laundry today, but that's about it!
Have a good Friday!

Good morning, Penny.Your day is better than mine. Anne takes a friend an hour away for cancer treatment while I move Christmas displays in the rain.

I'm working today and trying my best to ward off the creeping crud that is trying to take me down.
Happy Friday

Good afternoon to everyone.
Trying to decide what to do to add some spice to my Friday night.
Options include, Local OHL Hockey team Flint Firebirds hockey game, Los Lonely Boys concert down the road in Pontiac, Boz Scaggs concert down the road in Ann Arbor, or a Journey & BonJovi Tribute band concert here in town at one of our premiere concert venues.
The new Bruce Springsteen movie is also an option, although as a huge fan of Bruce I'm thinking there is a fair possibility that I'll be disappointed in the movie as I've heard a respected Bruce fan that I know say the movie was "just Ok". I mean heck, the movie is only 2 hours long. That's a good 45-60 minutes less than a whole concert.

The hockey game is the most economically sound decision, closest to home & they've been on a hot streak.
Orrrrrr......TV viewing that may or may not include the Red Wings vs. the Rangers or possibly some College Football viewing.
I was browsing &
have entertained the thought of going down to Columbus Ohio tomorrow night for the Paul McCartney concert, a never have seen, bucket lister, last time ever opportunity.
But noticed that the lowest priced ticket is nearly $200 more than was available yesterday. Sooooo....unless something pops up drastically le$$, that thought is trending.....

Is the game in Detroit or NY? If it's in NY, the Red Wings have a great chance to win. The Rangers have played 6 home games, lost them all and been shut out 4 times. They're the first team in NHL history to get shut out in each of their first 3 home games of the season.

That's a lot of choices, Ken! We saw Paul many years ago, and while the concert was great (I cried during "Penny Lane" cause my late brother used to call me that), he was an hour late in starting. I like most of Bruce's music, but not a crazy fan.. I'd choose the local hockey team, since we're big fans of college hockey.

At home. Wings just completed 5 game roadtrip including 3 on west coast plus Vegas.
Maybe it's not too late to initiate reverse jersey night to make Rangers think they're at home

Have browsed the setlist for McCartney & it is strong (Duh)!
I've been a fairly consistent follower of Flint hockey since the minor league IHL (International Hockey League) came to Flint in 1969 & especially during the late 70's & through the 80's.
Worked as an off-ice official (Penalty Box attendant/Goal Judge) during the 90's into the early 2000's. Hockey went away for a stretch here about 2010 for a number of years until the OHL team setup shop. Haven't been a regular attendee for the Firebirds but I keep tabs on how they're doing.
I've attended Los Lonely Boys & Boz Scaggs concerts before & really enjoy their music, but my night out for those shows will probably set me back about $75. Not sure the juice will be worth the squeeze factoring in the roundtrip drive time of upwards of 2 hours. Firebirds hockey across town will cost me $35 tops including something from the concession stand & including parking ($10....ridiculous). 7:00 puck drop desirable for this old guy also

I remember when I was trying to kick a football my neighbor pulled the ball away and I landed on my back.
