Good morning! I got a new phone yesterday, and several things require my password to open up the apps. Unfortunately, some of them aren't working. So that's on my agenda today.

E took today off work to celebrate the Marine Corps birthday.

Have a good Monday!! :D

Good morning, Penny. Anne fusses about her phone, but won't call Geek Squad. Oh, well.....

WHat kind of phone did you get, MsMod? I've avoided getting a new one just to avoid the hassle of transitioning everything.....

Good morning.

The temperature has been hovering around 50 degrees all morning and it's pretty windy. I hate to say it but I'm going to wear pants today.

It's a Samsung Galaxy S25FE. All of my apps, pictures, music, games, and contacts DID transfer over, which was great! Just some of the apps want me to login again, and it's not recognizing what I think my password should be. So overall, it was a great transition.

Hey Y'all

I had OT this morning and paid my $20 co-pay. My Medicare Advantage plan authorized 16 visits -- at $20 a pop......I'm not sure I'll "need" all of them. But, on the other hand my premium that includes dental, vision & hearing is right under $50/months.

After OT on the 2nd floor of the building I stopped on the 1st floor and had blood drawn for my new kidney dr. Stopped at Yoga on my way home and then had a bowl of cereal before heading to the beach for a 2 mile walk with a girlfriend. It was very windy but not horribly cold -- except for the water -- YIKES -- it almost hurt.

I'm exhausted now....still waiting for the new thyroid med schedule to kick in.

Kevin just ordered his new iPhone because his is paid off (he always thinks he needs the newest one). I'm about 4 "numbers" behind and I don't care.

Thanks for your service & sacrifice E.

Exactly why I put off getting a new phone as long as I can! My last "upgrade" was because I needed a 5G compatible one and found that had to give up on a replaceable battery, at least it was free. Now it appears any "upgrade" will also involve not having a memory card. Can you say "planned obsolescence"?

Congrats to E and any other Marines!

Today is also the 50th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald going down in Lake Superior. I wonder if they rang the bell 30 times again, the extra toll being in memory of Gordon Lightfoot.

The Great Lakes Brewing Co. in Cleveland makes a porter called Edmund Fitzgerald. It was one of the beers in my Beer Of The Month Club delivery last month, it was pretty good. They also make a pale ale called Burning River in honor of the Cuyahoga River catching fire. I used to have a T-shirt with the artwork from the Burning River can but that's long gone.

And within about an hour of posting this, they are ALL working. :D Yahoo's password reset took the longest. I had a 2 step authentication to email accounts that no longer existed. Yahoo (my email) is very thorough, which I appreciate.

I also noticed that yesterday my distance vision in both eyes was SOOOO clear!! :D Later last night I felt like I had a piece of fuzz in my left eye. I used prescribed OTC eye drops, and today I noticed the left eye had less clarity than the right. Called the Dr.'s office and went in at 2:00 today. Drops, pictures, bright lights, and everything is FINE! :D Just part of the healing process. But I'm glad they still listened to me, instead of blowing me off. Good people.

Yay on your apps and a bigger YAY that your eyes are doing well, and your doctor was both accommodating and reassuring!
