Suitcases and totes are packed for the trip to OK. Today we'll be stopping in Wichita for the night. Looking forward to seeing E's family.

Hello Everyone !!
We just spent 2 hours on the beach. It is definitely tank top & shorts weather. So relaxing to just sit back, close my eyes and listen to the waves.
We're hosting an impromptu happy "hour" for 4 couples this evening at the request of a neighbor who just won a seat on the HOA Board. (he and his wife just returned from a 5 night cruise so Linda didn't want to host).
Waiting for a referral to a place for my IV infusions (2xyr) for osteoporosis. Recent scan showed a 70% fracture risk in my left hip. I can't take the pills bc of EGD (espohagial something or other - which requires my esophagus to be "stretched" every few years). I saw the PCP 3 weeks ago and am still waiting to find out where to go. Many things sure do move slower "down here"......but medical stuff shouldn't be one of them

Speaking of on the road again.
Way back in the halcyon days of the 80s I did a couple of short tours as a roadie with a group of comedians—easiest roadie gig ever.
One of them did a bit with On the Road Again...
(Warning- Explicit Language but we're all grown ups)

The weather sounds great! Enjoy your happy hour!
Sorry you are having such a hard time finding the right medical care in your new place... It must be very frustrating!
You're of the >65 group, right? I thought Medicare was universally accepted... what is the hold-up?

Good evening peoples. We set a record high today, 81 degrees. The old record was 79 back in 1931. I think I'll have a frosty beverage now while I watch a little college football.

That's a bad deal, Linda. I'm hurting due to old age. I slipped on Bern's steps and heldon the railing while going down, hurting my shoulder. Ice is being applied.
The Mayers did a great show. Anne went to Peter and said, "I don't want a picture, I want a hug."

Medicare, yes. But if it's the supplemental insurance that may be the hold up? ?

Perfect. I prefer watching college football more than the NFL anymore.

Sorry about the injury, Bill. But I love Anne's comment to Peter!!

We are safely in a Hampton Inn just south of Wichita, KS. Right next to the hotel is a nice Casino, which we stopped in after our dinner (also in the Casino), played penny slots, put in $20, I ended up with $25, and then we quit to walk back to our room, unpack, have adult beverages, and crash soon.

Yes -- I have a Medicare Advantage plan (through my former employer) which is not the issue -- all things medical just seem to be a super slow process here.
