Good morning BN! :)

SO happy to be back home, although we loved spending time with E's family. And LOTS of cooking. :D

COLD here today @ 11 degrees, and I've got one errand/Dr. appointment this morning. Then back home to do a TON of laundry.

Have a good Monday!! :D

Good morning Penny.

Coastal Carolina's football team played the last game of the season Saturday, they lost 59-10. They fired the head coach yesterday.

Kinda like Oklahoma State fired theirs this season.. he had a winning record over the years, but not this year. :(

Good morning Debbie! :)

Hello Friends!

I called the PT office on Friday (had to leave a message) to cancel my session this morning (due to that nasty ulner nerve pain). I had a good chair yoga session this morning (although I did most of it standing).

I just turned on the timer for our outdoor lights - from dusk to 6 hours later. Won't know until dusk what they actually look like :). Yesterday we helped a friend from the TownHome section put up her lights and she sent us a picture last night -- they look really nice.

Today we'll put up the tree and I will start packing up the rest of the fall/thanksgiving decor. Then a deep clean before putting out "Christmas" :).

Last night we watched the John Candy documentary "I Like Me" on Netflix. It was really good (sad, but good).

Have a fantastic 1st day of December.

Good early afternoon Gang!
Emptied out my brother's apartment Saturday as he's no longer able to live on his own. He's been staying at my sister's and we had through the weekend to get his furniture out so we did that & turned the keys in. We got it done prior to the snow dump Saturday early evening/overnight.

Fortunate to have my early-bird neighbor come over Sunday morning with his tractor plow & take care of the driveway. I only had some touchup to do on the drive, then shoveled off the back decks. We do have a a fair amount of deckage. Lower level 10x12, middle level about 18x15 & upper level about 15x15 (I was all for getting rid of the upper level when we replaced the old boards 3 years ago but vote didn't count).

Last night for the first time I watched the movie Good Will Hunting. Crazy that movie has been around for 25+ years, yet I had never seen it, especially as I enjoy Matt Damon & Robin Williams' stuff immensely. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Watched that a couple weeks ago also. Enjoyed many of his movies greatly!
Happy day's to everyone!

Good afternoon. Had a little bit of snow yesterday morning. Just enough to cover the cars.
Tonight into tomorrow we will get a few inches they say. Two of my brothers and I went down to Mom's
to clear away all the leaves around her house. Then we sat outside and had a few cigars. It was about 40 degrees
but it was sunny and felt nice out.
On Friday I was visiting my youngest daughter, son in law, and grand daughter. The grand daughter, Faye, is 3 years old now.
When my son in law referred to me as "John", Faye spoke up with "No Daddy, that's Grandpa!"
I got a kick out of that. :pirate:

Don't overdo it so you don't make the nerve pain worse. :(

Hurricane season ended yesterday, we didn't get one this year. But according to Mr. Weatherman we did get 60 consecutive hours of rain back in October.

So, I had to go to Dr. Dracula this morning. Took one vial of blood, and if my Ferritin level is acceptable, then I don't have to do a blood donation next Monday. :)

E hasn't been feeling well for a couple of weeks, kinda weak, not a lot of appetite, and achy. His family ALL noticed his weight loss. Seeing him every day, I'm not really seeing it. But I had him step on a scale this morning, and he's lost 15 pounds since his most recent Dr. checkup last month. He called his doc, and we're going tomorrow morning. Hopefully they can find a cause.

Back to the mounds of laundry...

I talked to therapist about my nerve pain. She said don’t do any strengthening stuff now. I’ll keep with the icing and see how I feel by my Friday appt.

Our tree is up and the lights are on. Tomorrow I’ll finish decorating it. Most of the fall/Thanksgiving decor is just in miscellaneous boxes right now but needs to be moved to the officially labeled totes and then put on shelves in the garage. That’s for another day.

Hi there! Sorry about your hand, Linda.

I visited with an old friend last night about his emergency abdominal surgery. His intestine knotted. He was opened up and his ENTIRE digestive system was pulled out for tests. He was in ICU 8 days with a total of 11 days in the hospital. Everything went well except he has hernias and needs a blood thinner. I told him fishing stories and a joke after I asked if it hurt to laugh.
He could laugh without pain.
I told the joke. :D

Evening, BN... and Happy December!
Yes I am still alive!
We went up to Maine to meet up with some relatives that were gathering there (from NY & VT), and just playing catch-up now.

Like the SPHs our kids are long out of the house, so we don't do much in the way of holiday decorating either.
But, it is December 1st, so I put candles in the windows and wreaths are up, one on the front door and one between the garage doors.
I'll do some inside stuff later this week. I just hope we can find another "skinny" tree like last year, as we are not able to move furniture around the way we used to, to accommodate a "normal" one! If not, I do have a nice table-top artificial one to use if necessary.

Linda - Sorry to read about your ulnar nerve issues... OUCH!

Penny - I hope the Doc can get to the bottom of E's unintended weight loss, and that your ferritin is low enough so you don't need a pint drained.

Jerry - Welcome to the board! :D

And here's to the end of a very odd Hurricane Season...
After early dire predictions of a "bad" one, no storm had a US landfall! :) That has not happened i 10 years! :o I'll take that "reasoning" any day... Although I do feel bad for those in Jamaica who got nailed by Melissa. :(
