Laugh till you cry, cry till you smile.... Yep, that's me right now.. ;)

Good morning BN!

Doing some laundry today, with the plan that E may be in the hospital tomorrow.

He couldn't sleep last night, so now he's on the couch, and fell asleep within minutes. He's already had a bowl of cereal and a banana. And I was up around 5:00..

Have a good Tuesday! :)

Hi there! My older bought a 45 of a silly novelty song, "MY BOOMERANG WON"T COME BACK".

I played it a lot as a kid and got a boomerang as a gag gift.

In my third year of teaching, we had a summer reading camp. About 60 kids were seated on the floor in the lodge as I sang that to them. Behind the kids were steps leading down the cafeteria. I gently sailed the boomerang over their heads, knowing it would land out past them. As the stick spun, one boy shot up on his knees to see better. The boomerang cleared his head as we teachers gasped and disater was diverted.

The next week we had different kids at camp. I sang and threw, but this time it went out a door beside me.

Just short stories for fun. They're supposed to be installments but you could probably read one and understand the whole plot. It's not great writing by any stretch and it has a bit of swearing. It's based on absurd/random humor.

I love that story, Bill!! My father also had a boomerang, and I loved to try and throw it once in a while. :D

I used to write poetry, Jerry. One was actually published. E wrote a full novel that was GREAT, but he never had it published. :)

Wow, I didn't know you were a writer/poet. What's your published poem called? I'd love to read it :D Maybe E should publish his novel someday!

Sooo, the oncologist called, and they're sending E to a liver specialist to try and put a tube into his belly and do some sort of draining to reduce his bilirubin levels. Hopefully that will help his yellow eyes and skin, and the skin itch. :-?

Checking in from now-not-so-frigid MA... It is nearly above freezing at this point, with temps forecast to continue rising through maΓ±ana!!
I am VERY glad of that as there is precipitation headed our way BUT the temperature is forecast to be in the mid 40s by arrival - so it should be rain, because I have to take SoulMate in to UMASS in Worcester for a heart procedure, so rain and not snow is MUCH appreciated!!

Penny - you and Ron are still in my prayers. I truly hope whatever scans they do, (CT, MRI, PET, etc.) does not show any involvement outside the liver. The fact that it is liver cancer and not a metastasis of another type to the liver is a good omen.

Jerry - cool that you write. I have some friends and relatives who have published poetry and prose (both fiction & non-fiction) and I am envious of their dedication to the craft.

Bill - Love the boomerang story! I have one I bought in Australia as a souvenir. I tried throwing it - ONCE! After that, I put it to rest, displayed on my desk.

Nope, he's lost about 20 pounds now (which he has to lose, so it's okay). I agree, I HATE the yellow eyes and skin. [smilie=hearts.gif] [smilie=hearts.gif] [smilie=hearts.gif]

And thank you too, Ken!!!!
