It's Freezing FRIDAY @ the MSC

We've got frost in Myrtle Beach but the temp should get up to mid 50's which still beats the high of 28 for our friends and family up north.
Off to chair yoga - I've missed so many session bc of medical appts. I'm anxious to get back to my regular Mon, Th, Fri schedule.
After OT at 11:00 we have an open schedule. Not sure what we will do -- I've been waiting a long time for Kevin to hang a shelf in our laundry room. Maybe I can convince him to do that since it's been propped up against a wall in there for about 2 months
Enjoy your day folks !

Good morning, Linda. I shoveled 6 inches of snow to start the day with more coming tomorrow. This is the snowiest December in decades.

Good morning everyone. Doing some more writing, setting up Christmas decorations, and baking. I'm thinking of making a quiche...will update later.
Have a great day everyone

Good afternoon gang!
With me having the run of the house TV Lately I've been tuning into a show called "Caribbean Life" at night, show about mainlanders pulling up stakes to find a new home somewhere in the Caribbean. Some of the people work remotely from home so they've yet to retire, but can still "live the Jimmy Buffett dream" life before they grow too old. Others of course are retired & so they no longer have strings attached here in the states & have I guess hit their Time to do this moment!
On the show they usually have 3 properties they browse, then decide which one to choose.
The couple always states a "budget" they'd need or like to work with at the beginning of the show. Of the 3 properties you can pretty much count on they'll be one fixer upper that's often quite the project, one that's OVER the budget that has the amenities they're looking for, and one that's within budget but doesn't satisfy all of the so called WISHES that the couple hoped for. Can be fun to play along, although you don't REALLY know how firm their budget actually is. Anyway, I wonder what it would be like to pull up stakes like that & make a move as such. Get's you to dreaming I guess.
Well, back to looking out my window and watch the snow NOT YET melt. Guess we'll hit 40 mid week next week. Oh Happy Day!!

Ken, I have watched Caribbean Life, but kinda resent people with more money and freedoms than I have. Anne gets miffed when a couple in a beautiful home fuss over petty things like doorknobs.

Hi guys. Been a long day. Left home at 8:00, for liver surgeon appointment. After a good talk with him, we went to the ER attached to his office building. Had bloodwork, CT scan, and fluids. Hours later we got to a hospital room. He's settled in, and I had to walk back to where we parked this morning and get his bag. Someone just came in and they're doing an ultrasound on his kidneys. Surgery for the bile duct won't be for 2 hours yet, and I'll have to leave soon, cause I can't drive in the dark.
I need a drink or twelve..

Ciao everybody, enjoy your 12th day of December!
Just like “house hunters” and “beach front bargin”.
There were a few episodes of house hunters that were filmed within 40 miles of where we lived in Pennsylvania.

Hi kids!
Been thinking a lot about Penny and Elrod and sending lots of love and luck and healthy healing vibes to Colorado.

Ken, I think about moving all the time. I would love to pick up stakes and head to the little latitudes, but doubt it will happen any time soon. Maybe I will do the buy a tin can in a retirement mobile home park in Florida. Who knows….
My keet and a few of her college friends road tripped to Chicago for the day. She called me from the American Girl store all they since she had wanted to go there for so long. I was all up in my feels wishing I could have been there with her. Sometimes those memories of Christmas excitement when they were little hit hard.
Not much else is new. Hoping everyone is staying warm, happy and as healthy as possible.

Thanks, Mel! And everyone else.
I'm home. E's surgery should be happening right about now. Hopefully finishing soon, and it goes well. Just before I left, they came to his room to do an ultrasound on his kidneys.

The hospital he's at is 20 miles through crappy traffic, instead of the one that's just 5 miles away.
SO tired. So is E. He keeps falling asleep when you're talking to him. I hope he can get some rest tonight.
Cameron and Sarah are coming over in a few minutes, bringing me a salad. I haven't eaten all day.
Mr. SPH - I'm sorry to see all that rain you're getting!

Sorry to say no snow here, it was 65 degrees today!

What drives me crazy is when they say "I really like this one but it's $10K over our budget."
If that's the one you want, make them an offer! (And offer $50K under their ask.....)
Hoping for good news about E....

So, just got a call from one of the doctors that was involved in E's surgery. His BP dropped A LOT. His kidney functions
were elevated, and there was acid in his blood. So I authorized a central line for fluids and medications, a dialysis if necessary.
If anything changes in the middle of the night, I'll let you know.
