Good morning all.
Most of Boulder CO has no power (mostly on purpose), and parts of the mountains had gusts of 120+ mph.
Hospital again. Hope the stents are helping.
Have a good Thursday!!

Good Morning Penny....those to come!
That's some WAY TOO SERIOUS wind. Hope all stay safe there in those Colorado rockies.
Fingers for E's stents to be successful & positive recovery.
Today is National Regifting Day. This is designated on the 3rd Thursday of December.
Its possible I
may have done this before, although I can't put my finger on when it may have happened. But I hate to waste stuff & don't like to just stash it in the closet for years on end. I may have received a duplicate gift or something that in no way, shape or form fits my personality....or my body & passed it along
Full day tax seminar tomorrow....Oh joy
Quick tax tip. I realize it's late in the game, but If you are one that may like to give to charities at year end, but normally aren't able to itemize...in 2026 you'll be able to deduct up to $1,000 ($2,000 for married filers) over & above your standard deduction. So holding off until the new year to give may be advantageous for your tax situation. Check with your local preparer to see if this is something that may affect you.
Enjoy your 18th day of December gang!

Good Morning Everyone!
This is another day with nothing on the schedule as I cancelled my PT for this morning. The ulner nerve is not getting any better (even with the brace that I've been wearing since Monday -- maybe I was expecting faster results?). Anywho......I finally got a drug approved by insurance for my osteoporosis infusion. This one is just 1/yr compared to the other 2/yr.
Yesterday I started cold symptoms so I'm drugging up with cold meds. I need to be careful as quite a few of them make me hyper (you know those that say "may cause excitability in small children"..) and Kevin doesn't want me moving any faster than I already do
Enjoy your day

Good afternoon...sending good thoughts to Penny. Those winds are crazy! We only get winds at 50 miles max. I do enjoy taking walks in the wind, though!
Doing some writing, as usual. Have a great Friday's eve, everyone

Hi there! Warm and sunny which is a big mood lifter. It will switch to rain tonight. Our driveway is thick with ice. I hope it melts off before the temperature drops.
I have a one floor home and caught myself looking up every time I went upstairs at my PHriend, Bern's place. I was reliving Joe Pesci's character in Home Alone. I think I was wary of swinging paint cans.

I apologise for the wind.
I think it's a combination of eating too many cherries, having black pudding for breakfast and taking large doses of anti-inflammatories...

Glad I found the key today (I had trouble getting in yesterday...

)
Penny - I hope the stents do their job to restore the bile flow and relieve E's jaundice. I am surprised they used metal, though... did they say why? Are they non-magnetic, allowing for future MRIs? Still keeping you and E in my prayers.
And YIKES! on those winds!!

I recall the Chinooks being bad when we lived near the hogback region, but NOT near triple-digit bad!

I assume Boulder turned off power to avoid fire from downed wires... I hope folks up there aren't relying on heat pumps or well water.
Linda - Sending some good mojo down SC-way that your cold clears up in time to celebrate next week, and your ulnar nerve pain gets less as well.
Dr. C - thanks for the video... you always post the best clips!

Yes, Boulder turned power off. Now working on restoring in from down power lines. Metal is stronger and not 'smush', so it can keep doing it's job. He's already got metal in his knees, so no worry about metal for MRI's and airport scanners.
