Good morning!

I have 2 ugly sweaters, but not gonna wear 'em today. Fairly warm in E's room.

He slept a LOT yesterday. Didn't eat a lot, but drank a bunch of water. :)

My MIL is riding with me today, BIL has a few things to do.

My neighbor is going to hang one strand of lights on our patio. E always would, and I miss them. Nice guy. :D

Leaving soon to pick up MIL and off to the hospital.

Good morning, Penny. A PHriend made me an ugly sweater. I wear it XMAS eve.

Good morning Penny and Bill.

I don't have an ugly Christmas sweater but a few years ago the Pelicans did a Christmas in July promotion and they wore ugly Christmas sweater jerseys. It looked like Santa's coat with a strand of Christmas lights wrapped around it. They auctioned the jerseys off for charity and I have one of them. I wore it on one of my Christmas in Las Vegas trips but I haven't worn it since then.

I forgot, the Myrtle Beach Bowl is today at Coastal Carolina's stadium. Kennesaw State is playing one of the directional schools, I think it's Western Michigan. I won't be there. When they started this bowl game it was always on a Monday, now it's 11:00 Friday morning.

Good afternoon Penny and Larry.

It’s beautiful outside but the wind!!! Holy Auntie Em 🤪.

I spent a few hours yesterday and a little bit of time today working on the laundry room….now that the second shelf was finally installed. (Don’t ask how that went). I’m almost finished. There are a few copy paper boxes in the garage that I’m sorting through to see which ones should be on the new shelf.

I cancelled my PT for Monday since arm is no better after wearing the nerve brace for 4 days. Therapist said I should have felt improvement immediately or within a day. No earlier appts with surgeon so I’ll see him on Dec 30 which was to be my “release” date. I’m so frustrated ….

Off to book bingo at the library. Maybe I’ll win a prize. They have some good gift cards among other things.

Hello everyone...it's finally friday! Going to a Christmas party this evening. After, I'm heading home to write some Christmas letters.

My work place lost power for a few minutes. Very windy today!

Have a great Friday :D :D

Evening all!!
I may have some sweaters that qualify, but I am not putting them on as it is too warm in the house. (SoulMate's meds have him always feeling cold, so I wear T-shirts all year) One of these days, I really should dig them out of the closet and donate them.

Linda - This must be extremely frustrating... :(
What else can be done for your ulnar nerve if the brace is not alleviating your pain?

Penny - How sweet of your neighbor to hang those lights... they must give you just a touch of "normalcy" when you're home...
How long are E's Mom and Brother staying in CO? It must be nice to have them close by during this tough time while E is still in the hospital.

Jerry - Windy is an understatement!! :o I think about half of our town lost power due to downed trees and wires. Luckily, ours are underground, and we were not affected. The FPD put out a "if you don't need to travel, STAY OFF THE ROADS" social media post. That was all I needed to determine that there will be no grocery run for me today! Dinner will be from whatever we have on hand!

Larry - I think that a jersey designed to look like a sweater would qualify for today's purpose!

First, some sweet and nice news. My kind neighbor DID hang the strand of lights. AND I got home from the hospital and saw this on the sidewalk. A few minutes after I got inside the apartment, the doorbell rang, and the two little boys gave me these cards.

.....Now some not so great news.. Ron has a lot of things wrong with his organs - liver, kidneys, pancreas, and bile duct. He continues to be in a somewhat confused state, can't get comfortable, not eating much, and sleeping a lot. We had so many doctors and specialists in his room today. Including the head of Palliative care. They did an MRI and a CT scan. After I left this afternoon (had to pick up new glasses), Marty Ester let me know they just drained about a quart of fluid from his abdomen. 😮 About 1/2 hour ago, she messaged me that he was eating raisin bran w/extra raisins, some cranberry juice, and a sprite. So he did get SOME relief. Another liver drainage surgery scheduled for Monday morning. 😞

It is good to hear that you have power! Glad to hear you are safe as well. I heard Medford had a ton of streets closed, from my wonderful neighbor, David. I saw a bent flagpole, which was pretty crazy! Unfortunately I had to drive to Millis for a party through this weather. Luckily, there were no trees down on the road...I can't say the same for Bellingham.

Yikes, I messed up the formatting on this the first time. I couldn't find the end quote script thing :x

No worries... It looks fine now!

Since we are on well water, I am very relieved that our power never wavered! Our neighbor did have a large pine come down - lifted the roots right out of the ground! :o Luckily, it missed both his house and his shed, which was right next to it! I did not see anything else amiss!
Since the northern parts of Franklin (including a lot of 140) are still messed up, we ran down to the Bellingham S&S earlier today for a few things.
I am hoping that by Monday, I can head up to my "normal" store for the rest of what I need.

I am glad you had no issues getting to Millis, as my friend in Medqway said many of the roads there were a disaster!

Nice to hear that your neighbor is safe! A few years back during a storm like this, two 100 ft pine trees fell. They clipped the corner of the house, fell on the power lines, and took out my whole fence! I was out of power for a few days... luckily those trees are gone now.

Stay safe!
