It's New Year's Eve! Good morning BN. We had our first date on New Year's. Of late, we haven't seen midnight for years.

Good Morning Bill (& Anne).

I didn't sleep well again last night. I'm "talking" to Dr Google this morning. Finding quite a few of my symptoms sound like RA.

Anywho.....I'll soon start a crockpot of Meatballs covered in cranberry sauce & chili sauce with a little brown sugar to calm down the "bite". A woman in my yoga girls group is hosting a gathering at 2. Not sure how many spouses will be there so our stay will depend on that since Kevin hasn't met any of the ladies and I've not met any spouses.

At 8 pm will we head out to meet with 4 couples from the neighborhood- 1 of them is directly across the pond from us and we always have a great time with these folks. We'll probably be home by 12:05 :).

Enjoy the final day before 2026 rolls in. [smilie=happydance.gif]

Good morning Bill, Jerry and Linda! Hope you have a good evening.

I'm going to E's office to clear the few things of his desk. Cameron will be going with me. At least there won't be too many people there.

E and I had an annual tradition to have a charcuterie board and champagne every New Year's Eve... that won't be happening.. :( Fooey.

Hope you all have a good day!

Good Morning Gang!
Quick break here at work as I finish 2025 off at the office so thought I'd check in.

Zero on the agenda tonight. There's some Red Wing hockey on the TV along with SOME College Football game on tonight that may or may not catch the interest of some lady named Tammy who frequents the board. I'll probably check in on some of the above action.

I couldn't even tell you who's on the typical network NYE shows they do. Totally out of the loop on that!
Haven't really done much in a few years. Not real confident in NYE drivers & now living out in "the country" it's a bit of jaunt to visit with friends, and vice versa if they come out to our place. It's gonna be COLD tonight with feels like temps nearing Zero along with the dusting of slippery snowy roads so home is where the Heart....and the Butt will be.

If I don't check in later Happy New Year gang! See you on the other side.

Good morning. I'll probably watch people dropping balls on TV tonight.

Times Square was about halfway between my office and Penn Station so I had to pass by on the way to catch my train home to Long Island. I stayed to watch the ball drop once, 1998 into 1999. The temperature was in the 40s so it wasn't too bad and it was 3 years before September 11 so security was nowhere near as tight as it is now. If I still lived there I wouldn't do it again. The drunks riding the Long Island Railroad is a good enough reason to avoid that trip.

We've been in Tennessee for a week and got back late Monday night. We then hosted a family get together yesterday so today we're gonna pick up Lola the Wonder Dog from doggy daycare and hang at home with her.

Hope y'all all have a Happy New Year!

I'll be watching those too
In my family room... on TV! Yeah... we're old!

We agree on this one, too!

I never had the desire to even do it ONCE!
btw... I thought of you today... Jim got an email from St. John's (looking for y/e gift, duh!) and according to the photo in it, they have replicated the NYC Big Red Balls on the campus! The photos you always posted of those always said the holidays have arrived!

I guess there are worse things to be known for than BIG RED BALLS. They could be little blue balls.

I went to the supermarket this morning, then Total Wine this afternoon. On New Year's Eve the supermarket was more crowded than a store that sells beer, wine and liquor.

Evening all. Emptied E's desk, and there were a few employees there, and mostly 2 main ones to help if I needed. Cameron came with me. E's work has offered ANYTHING that I need. Trucks to move things, trucks to take furniture away, people to help me move his clothing and books. That's very kind, and I'm very grateful. After cleaning, Cameron and I went to lunch, which was nice. Then a stop at the grocery store (which was PACKED), but I got more hugs from his co-workers.

They've invited me to come over there to watch movies and eat dinner, but I'm just not in the mood.

No red or blue balls falling here. :P

Hi Kids!

I have already changed into my NYE jammies and bawked at how late everything starts tonight 🤣🤣🤣. I think it has been at least 10 years since I saw the New Year in. Would love to watch Mac, but not sure what channel. Might try to stream it for a minute.

Anyway, have a wonderful end of 2025. Let’s hope 2026 is full of health, happiness, love and luck! 💕

A popular venue cancelled New Year's Eve. The band hired for tonight had over 100 miles to travel through heavy snowfall. They cancelled, so the bar closed. We got 7 inches since midnight with 3 of those inches since dusk. No cars are going past the house. I'll get my work out tomorrow.
