Good morning Bill!
Happy New Year ALL!
Not a lot on the agenda today. I'm sure some more cleaning. I'll probably watch the Rose Bowl Parade.
Have a good day!

Happy New Year Penny, Bill, Debbie, and BN!!
About 4 or so inches of snow have already come down overnight. It's still snowing right now! I'm home, by the fireplace. It's definitely a greta start to this year
The Bruins win last night was awesome!
Have a great New Years Day, everyone

New year but nothing's seemed to change, it's still cold and foggy here.
The fog lifted a little last night and they did have fireworks but the drone show was cancelled.
Happy New Year BNers!

Happy New Year, kids!!!
I actually saw the ball drop for the first time in a long while. Daughter and two of her friends were here since we got a bunch of snow and they didn’t want to drive anywhere.
It was fun but I was a bit bummed. I have a Samsung tv and they were streaming the Jonas Brothers concert from Miami—I kinda wanted to tune in to see what all the fuss is about. Those kids sure have grown up since I last remember vaguely seeing them in Camp Rock when the Disney Channel was all the rage in our house. Glad the internet shows everything—I found a few clips online and realized I am way too old for how concert goers act today.
Speaking of old time TV, I guess MTV went off the air last night? That is kinda sad, but I guess they haven’t been showing videos for years.
Enjoy the day, all!

Had some shrimp yesterday, drank some brut when the ball dropped, cooking pork and sauerkraut today.
Happy new year.

Happy New Year, again.
I watched the ball drop but I didn't have a beer to toast the new year. There's a hockey game on the NHL Network this afternoon, I think it starts at 3:00, so I'll have my first beer of 2026 while I watch the game.

Happy New Year!

Disappointed that we didn't win the game last night but we had a great season! Slept in this morning, then we have little breakfast and undecorated the main level. The lower level will wait till Sunday.
I'm not into sauerkraut so I'm going to make chicken fried rice for our dinner.

Can I have both?

I loved my grandmother's German version of sauerkraut (but it wasn't a New Years tradition), and I love fried rice.

Hi there! I shoveled an hour and a half to clear a fresh 7 inches of snow. We went to town listening to RM which was very cleansing.

Happy New Year & good early evening.
I think I zonked about 10 pm last night. Last thing I remember was Miami kicking a Field Goal to go ahead of OSU 17-7 (sorry Tammy). Like you said, not a bad season considering all your new players & QB.
Woke up this morning & cable & internet OUT!
So no outside world connections other than a little texting.
Think I spent almost an hour deleting photos off my phone going back a few years.
Because of the winds in my area my snow removal amounted to a little shoveling of a drift in front of the garage, then on the back deck using a broom & the leaf blower
Now watching Indiana (yes Indiana) destroying Alabama! WOW!
So looking forward to heading back to work tomorrow
Enjoy your 1st evening of 2026 everyone

The hockey game this afternoon was the Islanders and Utah. I've been an Islanders fan since they were an expansion team back in 1972 but this was the first time I saw them play this season. They've been playing pretty well, they're in second place in their division, but they were horrible today. They lost 7-2. They took the goalie out after the 5th goal and put the backup goalie in. His name is HOGberg

It sounds both great AND familiar to me... as we had the exact same food/drinks yesterday and today!
