And away we go, NYD is in the rear view mirror & TGIF is upon us.
Our trash day is Monday & once last night & again this morning for an instant I was thinking I needed to get it out to the road.
Still Cold & light snow here in the Great Lake State. Late next week
supposed to see low to mid to high 40's. Can't wait
Carry on ladies & gents!

Good morning Ken and BN!
I'm off to the Mortuary with my sister this morning. Happily traffic is minimal. I bought small containers to bring with me so that some of his ashes can be distributed to family members. Sigh. Don't wanna do this.
Then my sister and I are going to stop by Ft. Logan to say "Hi" to Mom and Dad. Then have some lunch. And then stop at a coin place that E has purchased silver ingots before to see if some of the coins I found are worth anything.
Have a great Friday!!
Sunrise this morning:

Good morning Ken, Penny, and everyone else. There's about 5 inches of snow on the ground and it looks beautiful! I'm trying to figure out how to insert images on here.

Most times they have to be posted on another website, and you copy the image link and post it here. Uploading pictures from your computer or phone usually the picture is too large to be posted here.

Couldn't work out the 'html'/imgsize part, but there's my backyard. The clouds cleared up

When I wanna post a picture here, I post it on Facebook with "ONLY ME" as the audience and then "COPY IMAGE LINK" and paste it in my BN post.

Thank you for the help! Did it work? It's supposed to be a picture of a picture of Vegas.

Hey everybody. We left our neighbors' NYE party at 11 -- I was so tired and still dealing with sore/swollen joints. I finally started taking naproxen since the recommended 4,000 mg tylenol/per day was not making a dent in the pain. 4 naproxen in and I'm getting some relief.
We didn't do anything yesterday since I was so tired (this is my new norm). We did have shrimp & fries for dinner. This is the first in about 45 years we didn't make pork & sauerkraut.
I saw the PCP this morning and Kevin went along. Dr was shocked by my 2 thyroid levels. So now since the .88mcg/day didn't make a dent in the last test results I'm switching to .50 for 2 weeks and then another blood draw. He told me to cancel the EMG and f/up with the ortho dr saying ALL of my symptoms since the infusion are an allergic reaction!!!. So.......he will once again request my insurance company to approve Prolia (we have no idea why they didn't before - probably has to do with the $$ they get from the company.). At least we have until Dec to get it figured out.
We finally got Christmas put away and Monday our painter Sergio & his brother (Mario, the electrician) are coming to move the electrical box above the dining table and hang a rectangular light for us. We now have a one bulb "puck" light that is not centered above the table (More like in line with the sliding door). Since we have 9' ceilings that one little light way up there does nothing..... Sergio with fix the ceiling drywall and then paint it for us.
Oh the excitement at Carolina Cabana

..

(((Linda))) I hope that med gets resolved.
Penny, a dear Canadian PHriend lost her parrothead husband and wore a tiny vial of his ashes so he could always be with her, including Jimmy's concerts.

Happy Friday (
that may seem like a Monday to those working folks), everyone!
Not too much new going on here...
Though we do have friends coming over for dessert and bubbly, extending the holiday celebration!
Penny - hope that beautiful sky was a good omen that your difficult chore today went as well as possible.
And I do love the ashes-jewelry idea... what a lovely way to always have E close!
Larry - That Islanders game was a real stinker, for sure... but the back-up goalie's name made me laugh!
Jerry - I can't figure out the photo thing either.

I've tried the FB thing, but it never seems to post the photo, just a link. I've seen some folks use Photobucket, but I do not have an account there.
Linda - I hope SOME doc can finally get to the bottom of your pain issue... this has gone on waaaay too long.

However, I am glad you can take Naproxen! That has to help more than Tylenol, for sure. I think it is even better for chronic pain than Advil (
which I know you said was off the table for you), so hopefully you will finally get
some relief while they figure out the cause!

My goodness, Linda.

This sounds like too much of a nightmare. You need to get all the docs in the same room so they can figure it out.

The chore went okay. I was glad to have my sister there. The guy was running a little behind, but he was still nice. Got E a Marine Corps urn. And I already bought these little containers for me, Cameron, my sister, MIL, BIL, and nephew.
$2000 later for the cremation and death certificates.
Officially - this is what E died from... all the things he WAS suffering from:
Septic Shock, Acute Cholangitis, Obstructing Cholangiocarcinoma.

(((Penny)))) What a title for a cause of death!
We are pragmatic about the end. Our bodies go to a nearby doctor college for research, cremated and returned ashes for free. It will be our last act of giving.

((((Penny)))))))). It is all so sad and I wish could wave a magic wand and bring him back. If I had that power, no one would suffer.
Finally relaxing after a day of doing returns at the mall about an hour away. My daughter and I started our day at her eye specialist. She has to go yearly to make sure some abnormal spots don’t turn into anything concerning. Another year of a “no news is good news” outcome so that is good.
Gt the rest of Christmas put away which is the latest I have been with de-Christmasing in several years. Felt like a chore to decorate and then I was not ready to take it down. I understand why folks do less and less each year.
My dog, Paisley, has her BFF Gunner here for a sleep over. They were silly crazy for a while but now are relaxing and sharing a chew bone. Now that they are older they relax quicker and like to snack and be lazy. Don’t we all??
Take care, all. We are one day closer to summer

Yeah, it's a mouthful of causes... and it was ALL the things he complained about, and felt. His family AND my family AND the Marines would not have accepted anything except a burial, or cremation and then 'burial' in a columbarium. Which is the same as my parents.
