Good Morning Everyone!
The neighbor kids are back to school today (they get a 2-wk break here in SC), the sun is shining (but it's a chilly 43 right now - should get up to 64) and I'm going to TRY chair yoga for the 1st time in almost a month.
Hoping your day goes well whatever you've got going on.

Good morning Linda, Debbie, and BN!
Another warm (for January) day here.. 39 now, heading to low 60's.
Have a few things needed at the grocery store, and going to pick up some boxes so I can pack up all the zillion books that E had, and take them to the library.
That's my excitement today.

Wow, the first Monday of the new year.... it evokes memories of that first day back at work following the Christmas break. I usuallly had about a ten day break for the holidays and it really did feel like a "new year" going back and trying to get back into the routine. In retirement, there's nothing that really differentiates this Monday from last Monday or the Monday before (or even the Tuesday or Wednesday before, for that matter).

The only thing that makes today special is that it's garbage day again and I gotta drag the bins out to the alley...

Happy New Monday everyone!

Good afternoon, everyone!
Glad everyone's doing ok today. Got a little letter in the mail from my neighbor, David, which was a nice surprise. Got a new book, took a picture with a giant nutcracker, and I'm planning on a little writing tonight. I will probably watch another episode from this new show, Pluribus.
Have a great Monday (what's left of it...)!

The new dining light is installed and we really like it. We're waiting for Sergio to return and fix the round hole in the ceiling that's left from the puck light that was there.
I feel a little better today and actually made it through chair yoga

.
We had our 1st ever swan sighting in the pond this morning.

Up at sparrow's fart again this morning. We have a run of well over 100°F days in the offing, so had to get a bunch of things done in the garden and orchard.
It's only 8.30am and it's already in the mid-80s.
SWMBO has just informed me that we have to drive into the city (Adelaide - an hour or more away) for a doctor's appointment - so skulking around in the A/C is now out of the question.
Just stopped by for brekkie, now back out until it is simply too hot.
Have a great day!

Hi there! We took a drive to Erie for a break in the winter blahs. The sun shone all the way home. We had not seen the sun for days due clouds off the lake.
My nephew shared a warm fuzzy. He went to cash his Christmas check from me and the teller, who he knew exclaimed, "I didn't know he was your uncle!" She then said I was her favorite teacher. Last year I helped girl scouts learn to fish and she was there with her daughter. The next week at the bank, she thanked me and said her daughter had a great time.

I am embarrassed at how long it took me to get that reference….. just another Manic Monday I guess

Not all that big a fan of Mondays (until my last few years of work, when it was my day off) even now that they don't really matter...
But, unlike Bob Geldof, I was never inclined to shoot, oooh, the whole day down.
Not much happening here...
Tomorrow is the 12 Day of Christmas (and Kathy Joesh's heavenly Birthday) so that means Wednesday is my designated de-decorating day!

Slow is another
All joking aside, the cinematography is pretty nice.
