Will be doing laundry and housework. It is rough being a self made domestic goddess, but somebody’s got to do it.
Have a fabulous Saturday, kids!!! We are one day closer to warmer temps and longer days.

Good morning Mel and all who wander in!
Laundry is on my list of chores today as well. So is breaking down Christmas. We took down all the ornaments last night, so the tree's going to be put outside. I'm also packing up the little town sets that were under the tree.
Starting next Friday (the coming Friday) it's gonna be sub 40 degrees here. Looking forward for the longer days, too!!
Have a great Saturday

Hey y'all
We woke up to dense fog but it is slowly moving out and the weather guessers tell us it will be a beautiful day. So.....we will head to the beach.
There's a Special Olympics fund raiser "polar plunge" at a beach-front resort this morning at 9. 2 of my neighbor girlfriends are participating. This type of event is NOT on my bucket list .
Have a fantastic day !!

Good morning Mel, Jerry, Linda, George, and Debbie!
Thank you, George.
COLD morning, but the sun is shining. It's only 18 degrees. Warming up to the 40's, so I'll get back to purging today. That's about all on my list - I think I'll get out to the grocery store for a few things tomorrow.
Not much else here..

Good afternoon.
It's supposed to be 75 degrees today, I should probably get outside and enjoy the great weather.

Hi All,
Yesterday was blessedly cooler after our run of days well over 110°F.
One of the joys of living in Oz is that we get to live in and amongst large eucalypt trees. We have several on our place.
In very hot weather eucalypts have two bad habits.
1. They burn and they burn fiercely. Large areas of the states of Victoria and New South Wales are under emergency declaration for huge fires (we refer to them as bushfires). So far around here we have only had a few smaller fires, mostly grassland and crop stubble fires.
2. As a defensive method against the heat and resultant drop in water availability, the trees will suddenly drop very large branches.
As yesterday was much cooler, around 73°F, I spent the day on the chainsaw clearing up then woodchipping several large branches that fell here at Château des Rabbitz. At least we now have a new supply of garden mulch!
Today will be spent saying ouch every time I move any muscle... Yesterday it was chainsaws, today it is chain-sore.

I'm tired (and sore) just reading about all the work.....so sad about the fires

We spent about 2 hrs on the beach which was, surprisingly, cooler than at our house. Glad we had 2 beach towels to cover our legs and sweatshirts along.

Went to Trader Joe's today and got a Cinnamon Coffee Cake. It's very good.
It's also about to expire tomorrow, so I have to finish it tonight!

Sorry to hear about the fires, and all the work that needed done, Rabz.
You gonna share that Coffee Cake, Jerry?
The beach picture you posted looked great, Linda.
I'm done for today. I took four loads of 'stuff' in the wagon up to the dumpster. I'll probably do the same tomorrow. I can only take so many, and Cameron is working every day until next Thursday when we head to Oklahoma.
And I cleaned the snow off the cars... the sun is doing most of the work, I just helped it along.

I'm guessing you like bleu cheese on your burger, Bill?
Thanks AGAIN for the video, Mr. SPH. I've never seen TJ's coffee cakes here in CO.
Scratch the load #4, I took one more to the dumpster. I was feeling guilty at throwing away so much stuff, so I stopped, and had an adult beverage..

And great win for the Avalanche.. 4-0
I'm not a fan of most blue cheeses, but there are many that are so much better than most people have choices of..

One waitress refers to my order as"mold". which it is. My PHriend Bern gets some high-end dressing. ( He was a chef). I now eat baked potatoes with blue cheese instead of sour cream and Anne does a fantastic king salmon with it.

I'll take the salmon, Bill. Pass on the bleu cheese (tho some variations are pretty good, if you like a strong cheese, which I do).
