Good Morning Campers!
Friend of mine posted some pics as they arrived in St.Thomas this morning in the midst of a Princess cruise lines cruise. I'm sure if he would have awoken earlier he would have seen "the lights of St. Thomas twenty miles west". Regardless the lights he had in his pics were represented by a sunrise rather than General Electric.
Maybe I'll make a bold decision TOMORROW & schedule such an adventure. Well, probably not. Oh well
Enjoy your day gang

Good morning Ken and BN!
I was awoken by a smoke detector beeping at 5:20am. I've just put in the work order to change the batteries in all that I have. I did use my cane to depress the 'reset' button and it turned off.. for about 10 minutes, and it started beeping again.
Starting out the day cold (w/c is 0), but warming up to the 40's. Was going to take E's beer making and diving equipment to places that take them, but I may postpone that. Roads are stupid from our snow yesterday.
Have a good Monday, folks!!

Good morning Ken, Penny, and everyone!
We're expecting a little more snow tonight. I went to shovel at midnight and there was about 2 feet on the ground! Rooting for the Pats to win this Super Bowl! Unbelievable comeback after the last few years.

We know the feeling -- we keep talking about another cruise, or a trip to Nashville, or a trip anywhere.....but we just can't pull the trigger
(It's not like we've never travelled, we've been on 4 cruises, visited Austria and many US states....seems we're just afraid of planning on our own and then feeling like we "messed up"). Meanwhile, our 33 yr old daughter & her hubby have been all over the world -- they plan everything online

Good Morning Fellas & Gals
We had not one snowflake here but some really heavy rains late last night. The sun is out now and it's 45 which looks like the high for most of this week.
Have a fantastic day everyone!

don't ya just hate when that happens....why can't they go off during "normal" hours. We went through that the 1st night (at 2 am) we spent in our new/current place. Now we have a phone reminder to change them on a date specific.

I experienced this on our trip to Oklahoma. E always planned flights, cars, hotels. So I had to do it myself this time. And surprise! It all went as scheduled/planned. I was pretty pleased with myself.

Yep, Yep. I can't change them myself, ceilings are too high. I usually change them at time change each Fall, but didn't remember last year.

Good morning peoples.
I dropped a prescription off at Walgreens to be refilled Friday. The woman behind the counter at the pharmacy did her thing on the computer keyboard and said they would have to order it. With the weekend and the weather forecast she said it would probably be 4 or 5 days before it was ready. I just got an automated call saying it's ready to be picked up. I guess I'll brave the cold (I know, cold is relative but this is the south) and go get it.

Hi Kids!!
Another day off for me because of the snowy roads. Shoveled the driveway this morning—looks like we got another two or three inches from yesterday afternoon and over night. It is cold so it is the fluffy easy to shovel snow. No wind and bright sunshine actually made the task enjoyable. Now I am enjoying the sun in the front room.
Made up some chicken soup before I went out, so that hopefully will taste good for lunch. I need to venture out eventually. Going to get some curtains to hang in the family room to help block the draft from the patio door. Probably will need to change it out soon since I notice the draft much more than in previous years. Home ownership sometimes isn’t as exciting as the financial planners make it sound
Ken, if you decide to go cruising, I know an excellent travel agent who specializes in cruises. She gets fantastic deals through Virgin although she works with all of them.

I went to Walgreens to get my prescription. When I pulled into the parking lot there was a car that had backed into a spot. Must have been a good 6-7 feet short of backing all the way in. You didn't notice that when you got out of your car? What an ash whole.

YAY!!! Cameron came over and replaced the battery. No more beeping! But the maintenance folks are still going to stop by and replace the other batteries for me.

Started shoveling snow this morning around 10. Just got done a little while ago.
We got about 8 inches but the township plow comes through and double and triples the height of the
stuff on your sidewalk and driveway entrance. So you wind up digging up around 2 feet.
The guy from Egypt that bought the house next door was shoveling and trying to get his car out.
I said "Welcome to America!"
