THURSDAY @ the MSC

Good Morning BN !

Didn't sleep so well last night -- 6 days into being back on Synthroid.....is that why.....the mystery continues :)

I plan (key word plan) on chair yoga at 3:30 but it will depend on how I feel. We are going out for an early Valentines Dinner this evening. Villa Romana is a family-owned Italian restaurant where almost everything is handmade. We went in June for our 42nd anniversary and loved it. Every few months they send out a 2 dinner for $48 coupon so we're using that again.

Enjoy your day doing whatever it is that makes you happy (but don't forget to make others happy as well).

Good morning, Linda. I too had a restless night and it's snowing.

The Italian restaurant sounds great! Bern goes to a great one that does takeout. For a dinner party he ordered the biggest lasagna I ever saw. It was fantastic!

Good morning Linda and Bill! :)

SSDD with the cleaning. But I'm having lunch with Ron's boss and 2 co-workers at Noon. Looking forward to it, sorta.

Other than that, not a lot going on today.

Hope you have a good Thursday!

Good morning Linda, Bill and Penny.

I'll be heading to the Red Cross in a little while for my first platelet donation of the year, I forgot to make an appointment in January. :o After I get home I can go online and make my next whole blood donation appointment, I donated just before I went to Las Vegas in December and my 56 days are up on the 15th.

Do you schedule through The Blood Connection? That's what I use -- you get points to convert into numerous egift cards :)

No, I go directly through the Red Cross. I have their blood donor app on my phone and it tells me when I'm eligible to donate again so I don't have to keep track. They have points too - 200 points for platelets and 100 for whole blood - and I redeem my points for gift cards. Sometimes Amazon, sometimes restaurants.

My hemoglobin was low again so I couldn't donate. I stopped at the honey store on the way home and did another mead tasting. They had a few new ones, one of them was called Funktastic Fizz F&M Root Beer and it tasted just like root beer. I bought a bottle to bring home with me.

Hi there! A new physical therapist had me stretching into the realm of pain.

She said doing the stretches will lessen the pain. Apparently not right away.

Happy Friday's Eve, everyone! :D :D

Fell down some icy stairs today on my usual walk. Then I slipped again on the next pair of stairs... Other than that, I'm very happy that the days are getting longer. There's finally sun at 5pm! And it's getting warmer, which is another plus :D

I'm watching the Olympics, the U.S. is playing Latvia in hockey. Former NY Islander Brock Nelson scored a goal. His great uncle Gordon Christian was on the 1956 Olympic team that won a silver medal. Another great uncle Roger Christian and his grandfather Bill Christian were on the 1960 team that won a gold medal. His uncle Dave Christian was on the 1980 team that won a gold medal. No pressure on Brock to win a medal.

Sorting through closets and boxes, prepping for spring purge/cleaning projects. Do it every year but every year still seems to need doing. [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]

PLEASE, PLEASE... keep purging. ;) I've gone through SO MUCH stuff, it's unimaginable.

I did have a NICE lunch with E's work family. 3 co-workers and his boss. Lots of tears (mostly from me), but they were in tears often, when I told him about his last days. They have insisted that they WILL be there to help me move the furniture I'm moving AND the stuff I need to put outside for ARC or H. for H. It made me very happy. And it was a good meal! :)
