Good morning, Linda. Wings are on sale at one of our spots today. It's been 2 months since I indulged.

Good morning Linda, John, and Bill!

Mmmmm.... I haven't had wings in a while.
High of 60 today, but a bit of snow coming on Friday.
The usual cleaning today, but I'm actually getting closer, a few more days of stuff to the dumpster, and I can start the packing part.
Have a good Wednesday!

Hello all!
I've been addicted to lifesaver mints. Microsoft word has been amazing, especially with all the extra fonts. It's gotten me out of my writer's block.
Have a great Thursday's eve, everyone!

Please provide a trigger warning if you going to say stuff like that!
As a retired technical author I will say that, other than for resumés and resignation letters, that program is an awful, bloated, poorly designed piece of absolute garbage! I have no idea what you are writing but if it is more than forty or fifty pages, then be very careful to break up the document into several smaller documents (then of course they don't actually give you a workable way to compile the book with tables of reference, index etc! - Yes RD commands exist but no one has ever successfully used them!) Rant Over.

I always found it helpful and easy to use, Jerry.

Ran to the grocery store for a few things, and while I was there Cameron had some produce boxes for me.
Two "Insurance" companies that owed me $ for E's passing FINALLY paid them. One went to HIS checking account, good thing I can access the account and transfer the $ to our joint account, which I'll transfer to mine tomorrow. The other one made out the check to "The Estate Of", and I deposited it to our joint account also, and then put it on hold.

Companies are really stupid.

The deposit into E's account
was really stupid...

the check written "To the Estate of" is at least feasible. BUT, assuming you were the beneficiary listed on both, I don't see why they weren't made out directly to YOU!
As to your replies on previous days' threads...
I'm glad you are using a mover in April, that will be a big help. I never thought about U-Haul having boxes, but that makes perfect sense!
And the SS payment rationale is also logical.

So, I just got notification that the check that was written to "The Estate Of" has been withdrawn by the bank. I'm GUESSING they might need a copy of the Death Certificate? I'll contact them tomorrow, unless they call/email me. It makes me crazy that these companies don't see ahead that NOT making the checks to me will create an issue.
We've used the U-Haul 'store' to pick up supplies when we moved here 15+ years ago, and there a location about 15 minutes south of where I live.

And thank you, Mr. SPH... The ones at Home Depot are 2x2" inches larger, and same price as U-Haul's smaller box.

You're welcome! Home Depot knows that they have price competition and U-Haul acts like they don't!
