Squalls Out On The Gulfstream SATURDAY @ the MSC

And I'm lookin' for waterspouts.

Good morning BN. We had very strong wind gusts since 9 PM and lost power around 2 AM. I fired up the generator, but no lights. After repeating the steps I still had no power. I forgot there is an overload switch on the generator and the power is on! Limping around in the dark with a cane really bites. I'm getting an automatic generator installed this spring.

Good morning Bill and everyone else who wanders in...

Hope your power situation gets resolved quickly! Strong wind gusts here, too. I say it every Saturday, but hopefully my favorite show will not be preempted. I was lucky enough to catch it last weekend :D

Have a wonderful Saturday, everyone :D :D

Good Morning Fellas Bill & Jerry (and all other BN friends).

We have beautiful sunny skies here in SC.

We have nothing on our schedule today but around noon I can take off both of my surgery wraps and see what the damage is :). I can already see bruising at the edges of the wraps where the swelling has gone down and the wraps have loosened. Sometimes it's just the little things that make me happy.

Sorry you had to deal with all of that Bill -- especially with your cane!

Good morning Bill, Jerry, Linda, and Ravster!! :D

Sunny here, too... and winds are supposed to kick up later.

I was pretty tired last night from the week, and I slept (off and on) for 10.5 hours. :o

Good thoughts and wishes to you Bill, Linda, and TV watching Jerry! :)

Today I'm going to attack the cleaning products under the kitchen and 2 bathroom sinks. Will need to get rid of a lot of duplicate items.

Have a good Saturday!! :)

We lost power briefly yesterday afternoon but it was resolved by the time we got home from work. We had to take an alternate route because of downed power lines and trees. Unfortunately Bryan's car was hit by not one, but two large branches and his windshield is damaged. The delivery driver had the same thing happen to her and the shop van's windshield is damaged too. I made it home unscathed, thank goodness. Bryan and our driver are both unharmed but it was scary.
Happy Saturday.

Hello. Still here. Have a cold. Hope no fever comes or I'll be watching Oscar's from hospital bed. My white count is in the 2 range. So just relaxing reading my weekend newspapers and watching the Arsenal game.

That is all.

Certainly an appropriate theme today....
We were across the street from our hotel yesterday when the power went out and everything shut down. We sat in a covered area and watched the world blow by for about and hour until things let up a little and we rushed across the street to our hotel. They said they were trying to get the emergency generators going and the elevators would be working soon after. We eventually made it back to our dark room on the 21st floor and sat reading our kindles unrtil the power came back on about an hour later. Some time later we were headed down to the street to see what was possible for dinner. We were just stepping onto the elevator when the power went out again... thirty seconds more and we would have been between floors when the elevator stopped! Back to the room for some more darkness and kindle! The power came back on again about an hour later. We ventured downstairs and found that all the restaurants in the hotel were closed. The only thing open was the ABC store and they were only taking cash. Dinner was a bags of Maui Potato Chips, a peanut butter cookie, and a can of ginger ale. We're headed for the airport soon to see if we can get home. 🛫

So, my thermometers say the temp outside is upper 70's, low 80's..I took a load up to the dumpster, and saw some waspy things flying around. 😳 Ick. Winds JUST picked up, but I had to turn on the A/C for a few minutes. Those insects are going to be shocked overnight. :P

Hello folks. Just got back from the 3rd annual St Patrick's Day street fair in New Cumberland, PA.
Live bands, food trucks, vendors, the works. It was around 50 degrees but windy but not too bad. :pirate:
