Good morning Penny.
I was getting used to wearing shorts but today is 2 days in a row back to jeans, it was 44 degrees when I woke up.
I checked the Pelicans website to see how they did last night, they won 14-9. I looked at the box score and saw a scary stat line for one of their relief pitchers. He pitched to 7 batters and didn't allow a hit but he only got one out. He walked the other 6 batters and 5 of them scored. His earned run average is 135.

Hi there! A baseball story about the Pittsburgh Pirates. A T shirt misprint was to read RAISE THE COLORS but came RAISE THE CONES and attendees were stealing traffic cones to bring to the game.

That's funny, Bill!! I thought you were going to say people were wearing cone heads like that old TV show.

I'm at one of our local breweries. They have a beer called Fertile Myrtle and the sign behind the bar has a stork carrying a baby in its beak.

Ah yes... the Coneheads..."Tell them we're from France!"
I had a different thought... I saw a missed opportunity for an Ice Cream concession at the ballpark, envisioning a ceremony, say, during the 7th inning stretch, where everyone is encouraged to raise their cones in salute!

My head hurts, my feet stink, and I don't love Jesus
(Oh my lordy, it's that)
It's that kind of mornin'
Really was that kind of night
Tryin' to tell myself that my condition is improvin'
And if I don't die by Thursday, I'll be roarin' Friday night

It was 35° this morning when our sprinkler guy arrived to turn on our system for the season. Considering the current forecast is for temps to hit 80° by Saturday, I was not concerned about it being too early, but it was funny to see him show up for the task wearing ear muffs!

I have yet to open the pool. Looks like it will be 80 degrees on Wednesday too.
On another note, I was thinking of changing my email to grapefruitjuicyfruit22, but it may be a bit long

I like the sentiment of it, but agreed - it's too long.

Hey! I don’t know how I went this long without checking in.
It’s not like we had a pile of stuff to do.
Kevin got some sad news yesterday afternoon. His last boss before they both retired within 6 months of each other passed away yesterday afternoon. Her school teacher husband was trying to reach her all day. She was one who, even in a meeting, would say “gotta take this call, it’s my husband”. She didn’t answer so he went home and found her dead. We don’t have any other info. Kevin is really upset. He’s kept in touch with her and the other 3 from his department (all of whom are now retired)

Oh Linda, that is so sad. Much love to Kevin Says and others who are feeling the loss.
Bill, in reference to your comment in Monday about my basement, I run a dehumidifier during warmer months. Things have dried up now that the rain stopped, but I am running a fan now to support the drying. Today it is been upper sixties and sun so we are looking less waterfront here. Tomorrow they are saying more rain, so….
