My sister is coming over today to pick up some shelving units that I'm not going to be using in my new garage. They're going to be using them in a few weeks for a community garage sale.
Other than that I'm finishing the kitchen packing. Only 3-4 boxes left.. Yesterday I cleaned the "Beer Fridge" and put waters in there for the moving help. E's best friend (and I love her) is bringing burritos on Saturday. SO nice of her.

The finish line is in sight, MsMod!
I couldn't find anything worth posting of Jimmy doing this song, but here's the guy who wrote it....
It's getting there!! I have some things in my bathroom/bedroom that have to be the last day, those things will go in suitcases. I still have the pantry, but that will probably take me 15 minutes, and the fridge, which will take me about the same time. I'm running out of room to store boxes.
And thank you, I've never heard anyone sing the song except Jimmy!!
Hi there! We took the cat to the vet with GI issues. The visit with a shot and medecine was 79$. The special cat food at Tractor Supply was 72$! I suffered sticker shock.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Thanks as always, Mr SPH! I think Will did a nice job - on his own song!
Today's title makes me remember Garry as the memorial T-shirts for him (with the proceeds going to the Animal Society) featured lyrics from this song... I can't believe it is coming up on 5 years since he left us.
Counting down the days, Penny!! When you first posted your moving timeline, it seemed so far away... yet now here it is!
Bill - sorry about your cat being sick. Is this food switch permanent or just until the G.I. issue clears up?

I hope this isn't permanent. Anne dotes on the cat with wet cat food and treats. The vet said as he does better, Anne can give small amounts of other food.

Uh huh!!! I have one box left to pack of kitchen bowls/cups, and then I have a tub to pack pots/pans/casserole dishes.
I made my weekly brewery visit today, one I hadn't been to in about 2 months. Instead of having a burger or one of their sandwiches like I usually do, I had an appetizer. Pizza egg rolls, stuffed with mozzarella and pepperoni with a side of marinara sauce to dip them in. They were very good. I don't remember signing up for their rewards program but the bartender told me I had a $5 credit, which made the egg rolls taste even better.
When I left the brewery I went for a walk. I saw a guy wearing a T-shirt with a picture of a pig and it said I'D SMOKE THAT.
Larry, you seem to always catch the people with the most interesting shirts
Not much for me to do today, other than helping the Mum with a little more gardening. I also feel much better today...headache, sore throat, runny nose, and the like, all attributed to allergies. Burgers for dinner Have a great evening, everyone!
Jerry...from Massachusetts. I'd like to go where it's warm!

Ohhhh, it sounds like too much rich foods?
He was fine eating a variety of foods until last year whe.n issues became frequent.

They're both gone now, be we usedta have a both a cat and a dog who were on special diets. We found Chewy to be the best source for their dietary needs. Even at Chewy's prices, it seemed like the damn animals were more expensive to feed than I was!
This is one of my favorite Will Kimbrough songs:
It feels weird being the same age as old people….

I am one of those animal parents who has spent way more money than normal people on my furry friends.
I love this song! Never heard it before, but I am growing more fond of Will the more I hear his work.
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......
It is nice here again so I had the windows open in my bedroom which is in the second floor.one of my kitties was lounging in the window when the screen came loose. Luckily she is little and didn’t tumble out.
Needless to say, the windows are both closed. I might have had a vet bill that would have made Bill’s look like pocket change…

Wednesday morning is my time to head to the archery range for practice and a bit of socialising.
I am under my physiotherapists orders to not fling any arrows for a couple of weeks, so instead of sitting around moping I loaded up the pup into his crate in the ute and headed to the range for an social outing.
We have couple of mid-teenage girls who regularly shoot on a Wednesday. I was fully expecting them to get excited at the puppy being there—which they were.
What I did not expect was that all of my fellow old, grumpy, retired club mates would also get all soppy and would want their turn patting and playing with the doggo.
We were out a couple of hours and Ajax arrived home exhausted but he had the best time. I will continue to take him there, to get him used to the sights, smells and noises. I reckon I might need to train him to find lost arrows!
