Hello MONDAY @ the MSC
Good Morning!
Sun is shining here although the temp dipped down to high 40s. Our poor kids up north were in sub-freezing temps overnight. I feel bad for our daughter as she loves to garden and has lots of veggie & fruit plants. I'll probably hear from her soon about their status.
Off to yoga, then a dr appt then back to the library (if timing allows) for trivia.
Have a fantastic day.

Good morning Linda, Debbie, and Jerry!
Another beautiful day here, I'll open some windows later. Slept pretty good again last night.
Now my posts are the opposite... lots of UNpacking to do. Still looking for a bracket that goes to my spice rack... Will probably unpack my wardrobe boxes, so I can get my clothes hung up, and get rid of the HUGE boxes.
And it was 27 years ago that "Columbine" happened. That's the school I graduated from in 1977.. The teacher that was killed, Dave Sanders, was one of my teachers.

Have a good Monday!!

Good morning.
I'm moving slow today. The first game of the Vegas-Utah playoff series was last night. It didn't start until 10:30 eastern time and instead of DVR'ing it and watching this morning I stayed up and watched it last night. It ended about 1:00am.
Utah scored the first goal. They showed a woman in the front row wearing a shiny gold jacket that said VEGAS on the back. When Utah scored she jumped up and started cheering. I don't think she understands the concept of being a fan.

Unpacking is almost worse than packing.... you have all those "where should I put this" decisions to make.doMsM wrote: Now my posts are the opposite... lots of UNpacking to do.
We actually hit 74° yesterday, but it's gonna be a little cooler today and then back to the 50s and showers for the next few days.
Life goes on, just livin' the dream.... (not sure if it's a good dream or a bad dream, I'll tell ya when I wake up.)

The problem is that the younger me didn’t think there’d be an older me and now the older me has a bunch of stuff to fix because the younger me was an idiot.

I think about those people that have to be out of one place by the end of the month and into a new place the first of the month. I can't really even imagine what it's like, we've been in this place for nearly 28 years and were in the last one for more than 16.... And then, because of the buying of our new house and the selling of our old one, I had 3 months to complete the move (it's a good thing we only moved 10 blocks!)

Well, I knew in January I'd have to be moving. And I worked out with the management that I'd move one day, and finish with the other one a week later. All that is left in the old one is a TV and trash can. Cameron and I will get that late tomorrow or Wednesday, depending on his work schedule.SeattleParrotHead wrote: April 20, 2026 12:04 pm I think about those people that have to be out of one place by the end of the month and into a new place the first of the month. One of my friends from high school lived with his parents until he got married. Then he bought the house next door to his parents.SeattleParrotHead wrote: April 20, 2026 12:04 pm I think about those people that have to be out of one place by the end of the month and into a new place the first of the month. We've moved a LOT! But only once "on our own"... the rest were company re-los complete with packing AND unpacking.
The thought of possibly doing it again withOUT those services is NOT something I even want to consider, especially with the 30+ years of stuff we've accumulated in this place!
Penny - as we have discussed before, if we had not moved out of CO, that was the HS our kids would have attended. Near as I can tell, any of the friends we had there with kids had also moved on to somewhere else before 1999. Such an unheard of tragedy back then, but unfortunately no longer an anomaly.
Larry - Hey, maybe she lived near the state line and the front of her jacket featured a Mammoth, so she just cheered for the offense!
(or she's just an idiot)
Linda - your "slow days" would wipe me out!
Jerry - yes! It is a beautiful day! Good thing for the marathon people... yesterday's weather would have been brutal!

Re: Hello MONDAY @ the MSC
So nice to have friends. My riding mower died last summer and my buddy looked it over, ordered parts and tried fixing it here. It didn't work, so he brought his trailer to tow it to his house and still couldn't fix it, so he towed it 20 miles to a shop that fixed it. He towed it back and only wanted payment for parts and for the shop that fixed it. He felt bad about the time the mower was down, so he towed his mower herer and mowed our yard. We forced gift cards on him.
It broke again! He came and got it again!
Later we went to MacDonalds for a large hot mocha that spilled on the table and me. Luckily, her car's shopping bag collection had a plastic one I could sit my mocha butt on in the car.

Wow, Bill, sounds like it was a manic Monday for parts of it. Glad you got your mower fixed. Mine needed a new battery this year. I got five years out of the old one, so no complaints here.
