Good morning Penny and BN!

I was scrolling through yesterday's MSC...nice rug, Penny! Soon, sandy beaches will be in close reach for me :D I depart tomorrow for South Yarmouth. It's a hotel called "Ocean Mist." The Mum is thinking I might get a room upgrade since it's off season. One can only hope!

Have a great day, everyone :D :D
Jerry...from Massachusetts. I'd like to go where it's warm! :D

Now the fun begins.... first it'll be "where should I put it?" and then after you're all settled in, "where did I put it?".

After a few nice days, we're back to cold and rainy here.

The problem is that the younger me didn’t think there’d be an older me and now the older me has a bunch of stuff to fix because the younger me was an idiot. :-?

Good afternoon.

I heard Dave Mason died. He was an original member of the British band Traffic with Steve Winwood but I think he left after the first or second album. He had a pretty long solo career too. I saw him in concert about 3 years ago, he put on a good show. The article I saw said he played on a couple of Fleetwood Mac albums, I didn't know that.

I'm a week late but I'm having my free birthday wings at Hooters. I haven't been here since I had my free birthday wings last year.

Good afternoon. The farmers market was “ehh”. Not much there yet..maybe more as the season moves forward. Lots of vendors i.e. trinkets which I’ve never been into.

Back home and helped Kevin power wash the 2 concrete patios (1 on either side of the Carolina room). We borrowed a washer from a neighbor. Our neighborhood “guy” who owns a business came Monday and did the house and driveway which needed an “industrial strength” washer.

We have beautiful weather so playing with water was nice.

We’re still trying to figure out where we put the stuff we don’t use often! At least there’s not as many places as in our prior homes !

I’m so glad you could get a unit with a garage. !!

We have 3 huge metal shelving units Kevin bought through the Home Brew shop where he helped out. Each unit holds 300 lbs. we sold one a few weeks ago when Kevin and Scott installed the shelves above our garage door. Each of those holds 800 labs. We can now get both cars in the garage AND open the doors the whole way to get in ! It’s the little things isn’t it 😊

Hooters must have done something with their wing sauces. I had hot sauce on my wings and it wasn't very hot. But they were free so I won't complain too much.

There was a women's college lacrosse game on one of the TVs. They showed highlights of one of the players, she scored a lot of goals this season. In the highlights, every time she scored a goal she threw her stick on the ground. Seems kind of dumb, now she has to go pick it up after she celebrates with her teammates.

Hi there! I had a good report from the surgeon on my knee. Iwant it healed, but he said it takes time.

I waded for trout for several hours. I'm feeling my age and the knee.

We get Pittsburgh news and they are nutz there. The football draft is held there.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Excellent news Bill.

In regards of unpacking after a move, we've moved a few times over the past five or so years (when we relocated from Sydney to the Barossa Valley).

What we have come to realise is that in the initial week or so, find and unpack the absolute essentials. Put the furniture in the room you expect it to live in, don't be too precious about it.

Then, live in the space for a while. A couple of week or a month, even longer is lesser used rooms. The flow of the new layout will become obvious via non-conscious thought and use—then you can nail things down. Less stress and less conscious brain work!

Good evening all, and HAPPY EARTH DAY!

Penny - Somehow I missed your rug photo yesterday... it looks made with your furniture in mind. Didn't you give some shelving to your sister & BIL, or am I remembering that wrong?

Rabbitz - as someone who has also moved frequently, that is good advice.

Jerry - Fingers crossed for that upgrade. I think folks around here who go on a Spring Break vacation generally leave the area for someplace warm, not to the Cape!

Linda - Ever since you mentioned them, I've tried to envision how those "ceiling shelves" work... I still can't!

Bill - It must be frustrating, but if your doctor is pleased with how your knee is doing, that is what matters.

Larry - I saw the news about Dave Mason earlier posted in the WNEW FB group. I have several of his albums, both solo work and Traffic. Like you, I was unaware he played on Fleetwood Mac records... now I have to go check those!

Mr. SPH - another good video, and YES the transition of "DO" to "DID" in the putting things away game is very real!

Thanks, Rabz! I don't even know where everything is (in the boxes I packed) because I had about 13 people unloading the moving boxes, and although they say "Kitchen" or "Bedroom", they're not quite there yet. And I just have a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. It's not a big apartment. :)

I LOVE the rug. :D
And the shelving isn't as large as I need it to be, and I told them if they sell it? Then just keep the $$. :)

And I also LOVE the video, as always. :D
