Good morning all! :)

Not much on the agenda today. Got some more sturdy nails delivered this morning, so I can hang some of the heavier pictures... maybe a couple of them. :P Need to run the vacuum and actual chores not having to do with the move. I've been here just a month, and it sure doesn't feel like it. E's also been gone 5 months now..

Bummed the Avalanche lost last night.

That's all I got today, for now. :)

Good afternoon Penny......and to the other PH"s that fly by.
Hope everyone is enjoying there TGIT.
A cooler than normal day for this time of year, yet a pleasant sunny 63 it be outside. Should be
good for some lawn mowing when I get home tonight, unless I push it back to tomorrow night. Grass isn't really that tall but those
obnoxious Dandy Lions have entered their white haired stage & make the lawn look neglected. Only Time will tell if it gets my attention this
evening. :pirate:
Ciao for now gang

Good afternoon.

I saw the Pelicans sent one of their pitchers to the rookie league. He pitched in 7 games for a total of only 5 innings. He only allowed 6 hits but he walked 23 batters. :o That's almost 5 walks/inning. His earned run average is 41.40. I don't expect to see him back.

Maybe just a good day to take it easy, MsMod.

I can't post this video, but it's worth a watch, just Jimmy with Timothy B. providing back-up vocals.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gN0wL2Nn9Gc

As the son of a son of a sailor,
I went out on the sea for adventure,
Expanding ther view of the captain and crew
Like a man just released from indenture.

As a dreamer of dreams and a travelin' man,
I have chalked up many a mile.
Read dozens of books about heroes and crooks,
And I've learned much from both of their styles.

Son of a son, son of a son, son of a son of a sailor.
Son of a gun; load the last ton
One step ahead of the jailer.

Now away in the near future, southeast of disorder,
You can shake the hand of the mango man
As he greets you at the border.

And the lady she hails from Trinidad,
Island of the spices.
Salt for your meat and cinnamon sweet,
And the rum is for all your good vices.

Haul the sheet in as we ride on the wind that our
Forefathers harnessed before us.
Hear the bells ring as the tide rigging sings.
It's a son of a gun of a chorus.

Where it all ends I can't fathom, my friends.
If I knew, I might toss out my anchor.
So I'll cruise along always searchin' for songs,
Not a lawyer, a thief or a banker.

But a son of a son, son of a son, son of a son of a sailor.
Son of a gun, load the last ton
One step ahead of the jailer
I'm just a son of a son, son of a son, son of a son of a sailor
The sea's in my veins, my tradition remains.
I'm just glad I don't live in a trailer.

I love the call of a loon! I use it as the notification sound for my daughter's texts, seeing that she was born in MN, it fits!

Mr. SPH - great photos of Mt. Rainier yesterday! I did a double take at first, wondering where in Italy you were now, then I read the post!
Welcome back stateside! Was it a tough decision to get on that plane? Because Italy was so beautiful, of course!

Speaking of traveling...
Next month, for a 4-day period, my 2 kids will be on 2 different continents that are not North America!
My daughter will be at the tail-end of her vacation in Chile, where she is meeting up with her best friend, who lives in Australia. They determined they each could get a non-stop flight to Santiago, so that was how they decided where to go!
Meanwhile, my son & his wife will be starting their trip to London and then on to France... their main destination.

It amazes me all the things you get delivered! I guess with gas being so crazy, maybe I should look into doing that myself instead of running my own errands!

Neither seems that long to me either... I remember my mother saying that so often, I guess I really am old!

If it's something I can wait a day or two to get, I find myself using Amazon more and more. If I can save an hour of my time and a gallon of gas, why not? Amazon's return policy also makes it real easy to get stuff that I'm not sure about and can return if it ain't right.
