Good morning BN. I bought the book on CD back in the day and heard this song. RM plays it on a loop now.

Good morning Bill and BN! :)

A few things to do around here today, but all minor stuff.

A hot one, upper 80's.

Was having a dream before I woke up that I was having a service for E today. I had to check my phone calendar to make sure it wasn't real. :o

That's about it - oh, and I loved the book and song. :D

Good morning. I always wondered why he never played A Salty Piece Of Land during the Salty Piece Of Land tour. [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]

Hello everyone. We are in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Fancy Gap,VA. Here with 2 other couples and 1 guy. They are Kevin’s Dulcimore group that he met online. It’s our 3rd yr gathering. The others have been doing it much longer.

We have beautiful weather.

On the way home tomorrow we’ll stop at the Andy Griffith Museum and wander around “Mayberry”.

Hello BN :D

Just returned to Bellingham from Boston. I took the 10am cruise to Georges Island in the harbor. Nice fort there!

Then I took the 1pm cruise back to shore. The line was spiraling...it curved around the picnic area, then another curve toward the line, and it ended in the middle. What a nightmare! Ranger Danger... the keebler elf ranger told everyone to line up toward the beach. They all just stampeded. Line turned 10 people wide since tourists are selfish. And because Mr. Keebler was useless.

But, I did end up meeting a few nice folks in line :D Took a picture of their family for them and we boarded together. As it turns out, they parked right next to me in the harbor lot! I also got a lobstertail from Mike's Pastry. This time, it had chocolate drizzled on top of it :D

Glad you had a good time, Jerry! :) Please tell me that lobster tail was a pastry, not an actual lobster?? :o

I went for a walk in the park. Saw a guy who must have weighed over 300 pounds. He was wearing a tank top, shorts and cowboy boots. The Carolina Country Music Festival started Thursday night so he might be here for the festival and was taking a break from the music. Or maybe he was making a fashion statement. What that statement might be is a mystery to me.

Jerry - You had a beautiful day for it! And Mike's is the best! [smilie=yum.gif] (tho not being a chocolate fan, I get mine with powdered sugar)
You know, it was not until the Big Dig was finally finished that I realized how close the North End was to both the harbor in one direction and Fanuel Hall/Quincy Market in the other!

Penny, yes, rest easy... it absolutely is a pastry... similar to a Bear Claw.

I have my annual medicare physical exam next week, so I've been studying up for the cognitive test. Hat, train, chair, egg, blue. Hat, train, chair, egg, blue. Hat, train, chair, egg, blue. I've "aced" it every year, ten years running, so I think I'll be OK.... I also have an appointment with my new Gastroenterologist.

Not gonna find any live performances of this one:

He played it on the Today Show in November, 2004. I can't say I remember, but I still had a job in 2004 and my office was across the street so I probably went downstairs to see the performance. At one time there had to be a video on the Today Show website but I doubt if something from more than 20 years ago would still be there.

Hmmm... I'm on Medicare, but never had a "Physical Exam" for them, just saw my PCP each time. What is that test for?? :-?

And thank you AGAIN for the video. :D

The first 2 games of the Stanley Cup finals came on TV at 8:00 but the opening faceoff wasn't until about 8:25. Tonight's game also came on TV at 8:00 and I set the DVR so I can start watching late and fast forward through the commercials. It's almost time to start watching.

So, I went to the grocery store around 12:30, just picked up a few things. Had a few spits of rain while I putting the groceries in the car.

Then a little after 2:00, Sarah called me and wasn't feeling her best (migraine'ish) and didn't want to drive, so she asked if I could take her to a haircut appointment. I was happy to, cause I wasn't doing anything but watching TV. So, I picked her up around 3:00, for a 3:30 appointment, only about 20 minutes away. This hair salon specializes in curly hair (also part of the name of the salon, which Sarah has). The stylists were so personable and nice. And it was the cleanest salon I've EVER seen. What I didn't expect was I was there for 2 hours. My haircut takes about 15-20 minutes. But there's a lot more to having a lot more hair. Sarah and Cameron said thank you a thousand times. I was wondering... I can only get the scores on NHL.com, and wondered why it hadn't started.
