Good morning Bill, Debbie, and BN! :)

Packing today for my stay at my sister's house, and dog sitting until Thursday. Cooking dinner for them today, and they leave tomorrow morning. The dogs seem to do better when I'm there before they leave.

We're looking at upper 90's for the next week.

Have a good Sunday! :)

Hello Everyone!

We love "He Went To Paris (we've never been there).

Today is salad for dinner since we gorged ourselves on all that Buc-ee's "stuff" yesterday :).

We got a wonderful downpour last evening and hopefully will get more today !!!

Off to church soon then our schedule is clear (and we're good with that).

Have a wonderful day!

Summer has arrived in the Upper LH Corner. It happens every year right after the 4th of July.....

Again? He went to Paris to sing this one....

He went to Paris looking for answers
To questions that bothered him so
He was impressive, young and aggressive
Saving the world on his own.
But the warm Summer breezes
The French wines and cheeses
Put his ambition at bay
And Summers and Winters
Scattered like splinters
And four or five years slipped away

Doing some laundry, Bryan is at the grocery and then I'm planning to make my Spicy Sweet and Sour Chicken for dinner tonight. Just a quick tip, if you like to make homemade pizza, we tried Mama Cozzi's fresh pizza dough from Aldi. Bryan bought it last weekend so we put it in the freezer, took it out and let it thaw completely and made the pizza 🍕 baked according to the package and it was really good without the prep of scratch crust. Since we have been here in Apple Valley, I have not been able to make my dough and be happy with it. I think it's the water here, it sucks 😕 Anyway, just thought I'd pass it on, oh it's only about $1.25 so it's cheap too!
Happy Sunday!

I can see Anne's point... years ago now... (1997) the Magic/Tragic line was the close of the eulogy for a PH friend given by his daughter...
He passed at the waaaay too young age of 49 from a stoke/heart attack. It was a long time before my husband and I could hear it with out misting up.

Hi there! A couple we know joined us at lunch. The guy said the police came looking for him in a different diner. He was taken aback that the cops wanted him till he heard why. Gary is a licensed falconer, and someone reported a great horned owl in distress. He caught the bird easily. It was too weak to fly and was malnourished. He rehabilitated it and days later he released it near good hunting grounds.

About twenty years ago, one of the guys, Ron, who was responsible for introducing and indoctrinating all of the road crew members who have worked together for over 40 years now passed away. We all started our careers work for Ron and his brother Pat.

At his funeral one of the other roadies handed each of us a CD and said it was lifted from some studio rehearsal tapes and Pat didn't know were recorded. Everything gets recorded in the studio...

The CD had one song - Ron and Pat singing a song about two old mates catching up after many years (Called How have you been?). Only there was no indication what was on the CD.

A few days later I was on my way to work and saw the disc sitting on the passenger seat. So not thinking I put it in the player. Needless to say I had to pull the car over as I couldn't see the road through the tears. I didn't go to work that day. I can listen to the song now but only because I had to sing Ron's part at a crew reunion, the joy that brought to everyone overwhelmed all of our grief.

What a great story!
And yes, after nearly 30 years, HWTP now brings a smile of remembering Norm to our faces rather than teary eyes that it used to cause.
