Good afternoon Penny.
It was really hot and humid earlier, then it got overcast, then it rained, really hard, for about 15 minutes. The rain stopped but I just heard a couple of thunderclaps and the western sky is still pretty overcast. Maybe we're getting ready for round 2 of the storm.

Hello Penny & Larry!
Quiet day here at the MSC.
I did a chair yoga session and then make the 2 standard grocery store stops. Aldi first & then Food Lion for whatever is remaining on my list.
Like Larry - we just had some rain but it was short and only dropped for about 15 mins. Still hearing that thunder and hoping more rain is on the way.
Brandon & his family are on the road to us. This will be their second visit and the 1st time driving straight through. First ETA was 4:45 now 5:30 but we anticipate more (later) updates. Lincoln (the 2.5 yr old) has yet to take a nap so if he doesn't before they arrive he will be a tornado . We moved everything up & away as much as possible but we don't know how far up his little arms can reach so there may be more redecorating once they arrive. We have 3 dinners at home planned and have all the kitchen staples and most breakfast food. We explained to Brandon that we have some activities & plans of our own so pretend like they are renting our up north friends' Ocean City MD condo for the week. Buy your own food, don't depend on full-time kid sitting, etc. We love all 4 of them but it's hard for us to be here with the boys when their parents are sitting on the sofa on their phones

Happy Friday Linda, Penny, Larry, and all else who wander in today!
Quiet day indeed! I took out my bike for the first time in a few years. It's very enjoyable feeling the wind. And it was surprisingly temperate this morning!
I also spotted a red-tailed hawk on my fence. The local wandering group of stray cats, coupled with the hawks, have been keeping the pesky squirrel population at bay.

I went to get a haircut. When I left home we had some light rain. By time I got there, 1/2 mile away, it was pouring. It's in a very small strip mall, only 4 other stores, so no matter where you park you don't have far to walk to get inside. I was soaked when I got inside. It was still pouring when I left so I got soaked again. When I got home I had to change into dry clothes.

Hi there! I spent an hour digging a small ditch for a gas line, mowed, planted 2 shrubs then went to the Y for a shower. I'm taking tomorrow off.

I'm just coming in from working in the yard all day. We saw 83° today, it's supposed to cool off a little this weekend and they're promising some light showers. We'll see..... we've had a total of .43" of rain in the past six weeks.
She's saving up all of her money
Wants to hit it south in May
Maybe roll in the sand with a rock 'n roll man
