Good morning BN! :)

Finishing my packing for the overnight stay downtown Denver, after seeing the concert. My friend Kira is coming here, parking her car in my garage, then we'll head there together. :D

Another hot day, close to 100.

Have a good Friday! :)

Yesterday brothers Frank and Chris, cousin Ed, and I participated in a charity better-ball golf tournament.
We combined for a three under par score of 69. I hadn't played in at least a year but I made a good shot or two
to contribute. Three of us won door prizes and Frank also won for closest-to-the-pin on one of the par three's.
The venue served free food and drink (beer included) before and after the tournament. All in all a good time.

We're headed for the aeroporto to fly down to SJC to attend to family matters.
It looks like a nice day for flying ✈️, we should have some good views of the Cascades as we head south.

My friend is on her way here. She lives about 2.5 hours southeast of me. (East of Pueblo, if you know where that's at). :) We'll visit here for a bit, then head to the hotel. :D

Evening all!
Beautiful day here... sunny and mid 70s. Although it was briefly interrupted with showers mid-day. I was concerned about a "damp" visit to the Farmer's Market at 2, but it was all good by then! Soulmate is firing up the grill as I type, so I better get going on the salad!

Penny - enjoy your visit with your friend and the concert!

Mr SPH - safe travels... hope the "family matters" are good things...

John - glad you had a fun time at the golf outing!

Rabbitz - Saw your post yesterday about the "utes" I thought those were like our SUVs, not pick-ups... learn something new every day in here!
Good luck with your finance guy... and Mrs. Rabbitz get the vehicle she wants! :D
I had a loaner last year that controlled EVERYTHING via a touchscreen, and I HATED it. This year the model they gave me was a hybrid, and while it did have a pretty big screen, it also had physical knobs for the climate control and radio. I liked it MUCH better! I had it for 3 days, and it only used 1 gallon of gas!

Good morning Phriends.

Another cold one here in Frog Hollow. It's -2.5°C as I type (26 or 27°F I think). The sky is clear and the sun is struggling through the trees.

Ajax the dog is less than impressed this morning. He woke me a bit before our usual wake up time as he needed to go outside. It was -3°C. He did his thing and rushed back to the heater. Then he looked astonished as I went back to bed. He joined us on the bed but wouldn't settle so got kicked out.

It's a couple of hours later and we've still not got ready to go for his daily pee-mail walk. He is throwing toys about, yapping and doing zoomies up and down the hall.

I am waiting until it is a reasonable 0°C before I go out...

This is part of our usual walk, taken yesterday or the day before. It is literally a 3 minute walk from our back gate.

We have an appointment on Tuesday with the financial adviser. I guess we'll know more after speaking to her. It's weird, even though it's my money I feel like I still have to ask permission! When do I get to be old enough to use my money?

For those following along at home, this is the story of the ute. It's not a scaled down work truck, it is a vehicle that was designed to work on the farm during the week but still be nice enough for church on Sunday.

I have a ute too! It's an old Rav and a 4x8 trailer. :D

I spent 2 hours under the deck digging a gas line ditch. Boy, am I feeling old.

Earlier today I took a retired state cop fishing, who was a former student. (As I said, I'm old.) I told him cop jokes he hadn't heard. He had one for me. I'll put it on the jokes thread.
