quick question for any of you guys who are familiar with the woodlands. i recently double ordered tickets to the upcoming concert, the first set of tickets say "lawn" and gate GA7 and the second set say "lawn1" and GA9 (or something similar to that). I have easily found enough people to use the second set of tickets but was wondering if the lawn was seperated or if we will all be able to sit / stand together.
Also, i have never been to an outdoor concert before, any suggestions or advice for a first time lawn ticket holder?

Houston Question / first time lawn concert question
I studied the life at sea, I studied the life in bars. Never passed my S.A.T.s so i thought I'd study extra hard.

I don't about the Lawn situation, when I was there it looked basically open, blankets and group gatherings. I would suggest that you call Cynthia Mitchell Pavillion direct, they should know. It is a good settings and a beautiful, and Jimmy loved it last time. I'm sure Jimmy will have something to say about the Columbia disaster. Last time he had a live feed from space, where talked with the crew, some were PH's and when there were some tech problems, Jimmy of course said, "Houston we've got a problem." Some there could something memorable in store.

Woodlands Lawn
Lawn is separated by a walkway from the reserved seats, but there is no separation on the lawn itself. It's pretty much general admission. People bring blankets, etc. to sit on, but no one really does sit. You won't have any problem with being together as a group.
Just wear shoes that you don't mind getting muddy if it rains within about a week of the concert as the lawn isn't the best kept grassy area in the world, but it is a really good place for a concert.

The lawn in Houston is the only place to be. I've been twice, last time I got stuck with a reserved seat, but I somehow found myself on the lawn all night. The beer stands are closer and the people really know how to party on the lawn.

Woodlands riverwalk partly closed due to bridge construction
I walked the riverwalk that runs from Landry's seafood resturant around behind the new Marriott Convention Ctr and to the Pavillion. Or almost. You cannot get from Landry's down to the Marriott or Pavillion. They are putting in a new pedestrian bridge and the walkway is closed at that point.
But you can still get to the riverwalk from the Marriott to the Pavillion area.
